Israel is set to take more Palestinian land in another Israeli Supreme court order, "ordering" the Government to move the barrier further afield.
They cite Security issues, the most common excuse they use for annexing land, including Syrian Golan Heights which Syria is supposedly preparing to retake.
Also in Palestine:
Palestinian President Abbas recently changed election law to cut out District level seats and make all Proportional, supposedly in a step to cut Hamas seats in a future election, which would only take effect if Hamas loses votes.
Hamas contested and won the 2006 Parliamentary election on an anti-corruption ticket, the first time it has stood for election and after a 2005 ceasefire with Israel which has seen sparks of violence since.
While prominent with world figures outside of Palestine, Fatah has lost significant support in recent years in Palestine itself down to corruption issues and softening its stance on Israel.

Ugh, stupid Israel.
|
Still falling for the official line of the anti-Semitic Beeb, I see. Israel has never ever made a move against the Palestinian territories that wasn't motivated by not just a security concern, but an imminent threat or an attack on their civilian population.
|
Seen it on the TV where palestinians are having to go to rubbish tips in israel to find enough food to get by?
|
Whether the reaction to such concerns is always appropriate is another matter entirely. Still, there are very few clean hands in the region, and a workable peace would seem to benefit everyone. Unfortunately, there seems to be a wide array of groups with vested interests in the opposite. Hamas and Fatah have both shown a failure to exercise legitimate authority either due to corruption or flat out ineptitude. Not surprising, as they began as paramilitary resistance organizations with a penchant for terrorism. OTOH, Sinn Fein seems to have shaped up, so maybe there is some hope.

man, why dont they rape the Palestinian economy even further? way to go israel.
Thats also wonderful for the world climate. Woo. And saying "we need this land to protect us" well yeah, i guess having buffer zones help but when does it end? until you control all of Asia and then Europe? bah. |
Umm, that was an Israeli ruling telling them not to do that.
In other news Palestinian rockets land next to an Israeli preschool. Israel also considers releasing 100 Fatah prisoners as a goodwill gesture to President Mahmoud Abbas. Hamas bans public prayer in Gaza to route out their rivals. Take a look at the side you are supporting, terrorist. |

Look at the side your taking, take over a country and treat the people like second hand citizens, take their land, make them get special permission to move about their own country that they are intermidently denied and often seperated from their family. Rape the GDP of the country and make everybody suffer and you think they wont launch rockets at you? if the united states started annexing canada and fucked up my life that bad id be acting radically too. The truth is theres victems on both sides, but using the T word just makes you look like a brainwashed american. |

We all like to use sound bites, ex. "CHOP" and "Terrorist". It was intentional and showing him he is a dolt. Secondly, you have no idea what you're talking about and shouldn't be sticking your neck into adult conversation. The Palestinians have been occupied by the Egyptians, the Jordanians and the Israelis. Infact, why don't you ask where the rest of the land from the original English partition went? Oh wait, their fellow neighbors annexed it. Don't give me this shit about raping GDP and making lives miserable. Why don't you ask the Saudis why the only people around the world who they refuse to give citizenship to is Palestinians? To put fuel in the fire of the insurgency. Make them miserable so they will fight. All in all the Arabs have done more than the Israelis to make the Palestinians miserable. Travel restrictions are legitimate, in six years there have been 25,000 terrorist attacks in Israel. Do I agree with the settlements? No, no one but radicals do. What do the Palestinians do when the Israelis give back Gaza? They fire more rockets! And institute a form of government that forbids you from congregating in public. Oh right, I guess the Palestinians chose this, they did elect these guys to the parliament. |

You call anybody who thinks Israel (who has caused and spread so much of this hate) is partially to blame a terrorist. Bravo, its sad to see so many Americans talk like they are right and part of the majority when the rest of the world thinks the USA and Israel are the 2 biggest asshole nations in the world. |
Neither side is clean. Masterdan, Palestine is not a saint. World, Lummox, Israel has also done it's far share of stupid things - it has rather a penchant for killing civilians, just as much as various militant groups like shooting rockets at them.

Secondly, you are getting more stupid by the minute. It is not Sudan committing genocide in Darfur, it is not China with its plethora of human rights abuses or any of the other masses of other countries that do the same, but the US and Israel that are the biggest assholes. You must either not value the lives of Blacks(racism), or just be really stupid. Pick. |

Being hated and being the worst human rights abusers are two different things. The abuses in China and Darfur are big deals but there are not that many countries burning their flags and chanting "Death to China", And seriously, shut the fuck up. |

Don't you understand the nuances of what I'm trying to explain to you? If you hate a genocidal country less than the USA, something is wrong with your brain. |
Go Israel Go!
I couldn't give a crap about some backwards ass country steeped in Islamic Fundamentalism and "Jihaad" which is all just bullshit anyway. And you must not know your geography about the Golan heights or your history. When Israel was last invaded in that 3 day war thing, that's exactly where their enemy, Syria, launched an offensive from the north. It actually makes a LOT of sense for them to occupy that massive strip of highground, despite the economic incentives to do so. Supporting a democratic nation like Israel over its degenerate neighbors is just common sense. And whoever says the USA is involved in genocide is so full of crap I'm surprised their internal organs are still functioning. If we went for genocide, hitler's little dance of death would be nothing compared to grand-scale hell we could unleash. Here's something for your leftist brain to chew on: In WWII 1 out of 10 Americans were actively involved in the War, while another 1 out of 10 were directly involved in support. Today that figure falls to 1 in 65. Translation? We're not even trying in the war on terrorism. |
