Final Fantasy XI Online.
I've played this MMO since December of '03, but it's time to part ways. I love the game, but it really is too time consuming as is. I have better plans, so I really can't afford to sit down and play it anymore. So why pay for it?lol.
It's been about a week since I canceled, but now the accounts are officially closed. Re-activation is pending on College, and if my friends decide to play it again. My character's name is Corvis, and it will reside on Hades until I re-activate it.
Screen shot of my Paladin a few weeks before I canceled the account.
Screen shot of my Monk in a merit party.
More Monk game play.
Just a funny pic. lol
Also, if you're an avid fan of FFXI. You might enjoy my old fraps videos from it. It's just endgame "game play" footage mostly.

Enjoy :D
It's been about 2 years since I played, Must just be because I haven't played in so long, but it looks different.

They had a jump in players when they introduced the World Transfer service. Also, last update was really good for those 2-Handed weapons like Scythe and Great Katana. They introduced a thing called a "grip" that you could equip on your sub weapon slot that enhances attack speed/attack power. This was after I quit, so I don't know the specifics yet.
So you will see a higher player base for now, and possbibly until after the new expansion gets released. The major problem with the game is the time sink, and SE doesn't seem to want to do much about the endgame in FFXI. By the way, the reason my game looks different from others is because I changed my User Interface .dat files. Makes the game look much nicer. |

Everything else I pretty much coded on my own with luck and trial/error for hours. It was a huge pain lol. I recommend just going on google and looking for tutorials, and making your own theme by trial and error. Here's a link that helped me a lot. http://www.mandarindesign.com/opacity.html It may look difficult at first, but by reading and going by trial&error it gets much easier. I also recommend just editing your default style sheet. It has little guidelines. |
Thank u sooo much, and i searched for byond's lab and couldnt find it is there a link? btw i applied for the BDoC, they said they're going to send me a mail wether im accpeted or not... its been 2 days.. do u know whne scizz is going online? |

Well, I don't feel I have the right to share that. I'll tell you how to make your own little image though that would be exactly like that. Width doesn't matter as long as it's not too wide. Start off by using Paint. Simple enough to use for this. Now what you want to do is go down 12 pixels and draw a line going to the right using whatever color you want. If you want Blue fading to black like this one. Just make that first line your brightest shade. Then go to "edit color" and select all your custom colors. I would scale down from brightest to darkest until black. Then use each of those colors as a line above the bright one until it is black. Now you will practically be done. You have half the image complete, but hardest is done with. Use the Selection and copy your image. Now paste and right click the highlighted image. Select Flip/Rotate. It will prompt you with a new window. Select "Flip Vertical", and hit OK. Now just drag the image and mirror it to the other one. I recommend overlapping the bright lines instead of lining them up together. That will make your image 25 pixels, and perfect for anyone's box. Save your image, and now host it online. You can host it on your Byond page, or another source(ie. photobucket.com or imageshack.us). Then just code it in. I do plan on changing my theme eventually. It'll probably be more red based to match my other background image. And yes, I will follow the same instructions I gave you :P |
hmmm.... i think im starting to get the hang of this...... thank u sooooooooooooo muchhh i added u to my friend list^^ arigato gozamimasu it looks like im gonna take a while to make it, but i'll try Thankz again

They aren't hidden. body{background: url([image]); background-attachment: fixed;} .box .title, .post .title, .big_box .title, .comment .title{background: url([image]);} Stuff like that. Oh, and as for the opacity. That's not cool, it's annoying. |
Mikau wrote:
http://members.byond.com/byondlabs I meant their images and source. Not sure if they mind so didn't link. I half-agree about opacity being annoying, but I like seeing my background. |

same... btw how do i get the css for the blue stuff? Well, that's an image. I told you how to make your own, but I'll just link you to theirs I guess. The 25pixel one: http://members.byond.com/BYONDLabs/files/blulinear25p.png The 33pixel one http://members.byond.com/BYONDLabs/files/blulinear33p.png You type those URLs in place of [image] in Mikau's example. |
................................ im new at CSS.... giv me 1 week to understand wat u guys are yapping about ^^; and i tried it didnt work.. so just give me a few days to understand CSS...

The 25pixel one: That's called hotlinking, and most people including myself can't stand when people leech off of you. Save the image yourself. |

Gdubbz wrote: I was hoping that if he insisted on having that image, he'd at least have the common sense to host it on his own. It might not be much bandwidth, but it's still bandwidth none-the-less. I gave him the link to 2 image hosting websites in one of my previous posts, and he always has his byond hosting space as well. Either way, I didn't mean to brush off as telling him to just direct link theirs(there's already enough people leeching as is). I meant it as an example to complete your sample of the CSS code for boxes etc. |
?????>.<????? KK, i'm srry if i did sumthing wrong.. (from the way u spoke... u guys seems mad) i don't rele know anything... i just founded BYOND a few weeks ago and learnt CSS in 1 week, so im sorry......

I'm new at it too lol. This is actually first time I mess with it. |
And then I see people who claim tons of people still play.
