Just wondering, is there much of an interest in the BYOND community for a single / cooperative game? Such as an original RPG with a completable storyline (i.e. Zelda etc)?

Essentially I'm wondering if people would pick up an RPG made for BYOND to play from start to finish, whether it be alone or with a group of players?

... If so anyone (with provable experience in their field of expertise) willing to collaborate? It just seems to be an interesting idea at the moment...
I'm the type of gamer that has to play against or with someone, I never can play single player games (which is why I've never beaten one). But I like Cooperative games a lot so yes, I think it would be a good idea and fun to play.
Agreed, yeah I'd play it if I was interested in the storyline.
I think it would be nice if both could be thrown into a game. A single player type with a story and all, which can be played by multiple people. I havnt seen that on byond except for DBTC and Final Fantasy Legacy (well sortof). Were going to do something like that for DBO2 aswell though. But yeah it would be nice if more games did that. What are some other games on byond with that kind of gameplay?
Join anytime co-op (ala, Secret of Mana) would be really cool.

There's not an incredible amount of interest in single-player games. Without the social aspects of the games BYOND isn't very appealing to the average player.
That's largely because almost all BYOND games are pretty poorly made (even on amateur standards).
With the level of flexibility BYOND v4.0 gives developers they've got all the tools to make what I would consider a 'proper' single-player game, we just need talented developers to put them to work.
There's also a lot of issues with registration. With a single-player game registration makes it hard to draw in players.

What are some other games on byond with that kind of gameplay?

Dragon Warrior Online did it.
I'm basically interested because over the course of my BYOND membership (pre and post Members), Ive written / developed and theorised a good many systems for a good many different types of games. Im thinking of trying to meld a lot of them together to get something going, and was hoping to do something different...

Maybe I could organise some sort of demo and see what the community at large thinks...
