Time for Blog 2.

This time around we're talking about the infamous Maze. Just incase you have no clue what I'm talking about, The Maze is the character select system in PMR/PMR2.

Well this time around I'm going to make it a bit harder.. But in different ways than normal.

First of all, most rares/legendaries will have some sort of puzzle to get to them, similar to the puzzles for the Trio in R/S/E. An example is a riddle that, when deciphered, tells you to use the Tag verb on the pillars around the room in a certain sequence to access the Legendary's room.

Another change is the introduction of Event Items. These will be obtainable through events in the game and will allow you to obtain the Events Legendaries in the maze once you've obtained them. They will be hardwired into your savefile so if you get reset you'll still have them in the Event Items section of your inventory. This will make it so I have no more random newbies obtaining Mew on first try, overpopulaing the world with flying pink cats.

Another change is that the Maze is less Maze-like. It will still be similar to its old self, but the corridors will be more than one tile thick at most points. Also it will be mostly its own world with enviroments in itself instead of some marble maze looking place with rooms of different elements.

Another change is to the base Pokemon Selection system, but you'll probably never notice it unless you look at the code files. This will make it tons easier for me to find out what Pokemon you are and what attacks you're supposed to have in other procs and verbs.

Yet another is that the entire maze has a more varied and spread out selection of Pokemon. I have about 30 or so new Pokemon that I'll be adding in to PMR2.

Along with this is making sure that every Pokemon in the maze gets its rightful evolutions before they're released. No more "Does (blah) evolve?" for this game!(Unless its a 4th-Gen Pokemon, then its probably going to not have its evolutions unless I can find/make the icon of it..)

And finally I will be adding more anti-cheat functions to the maze. I'm disabling the Shout, Talk, Whisper, and Tell verbs while you're in the maze to prevent people from asking for help or giving others help. You need to get through the maze on your own, not with someone else's help!

Of course theres alot more that I'm adding, but I don't want to spoil it all do I?

Thats sounds much better than the current system. Right now we have way too many event legends people are getting.
