Nice. Something legitimate other than Aim/Gaim.
I'm downloading this when I get home; thanks for the heads-up! |
I just had a conversation on Google Talk using call. I guess I should have looked into it a bit, because I was not thinking I'd be talking to someone. I figured it was something like YIM's buzz feature. =P

Wee! Even though Tracy's the only one on my Google Friends list (add [email protected] =D), I got so pumped I made a desktop background tribute to Google.
Yeah, don't ask where I got a weird idea like that... http://corruptedpeace.zero-crash.com/Art/LordRaven/ google.jpg Tell me if there are any typos XD. |
*downloads* Hm, looks nice. I just dont have anyone to actualy add... lol.
Psst: Add [email protected] :P |
Yey, I have 9 people on my list so far. I love this, I just can't wait till they add the customization features. Like text attributes, smileys, and file sending and the like. Why would you even have Windows 98? Do you like the extreme bugs and the blue screen of death as well as being limited to 98 software and a less stable environment? If you do, have fun! ^^

Thats what makes computers so fun, and XP is sooo brilliant... ...what am I saying... I'm an XP whore, but I'd rather have 98 or something non-microsoft, I'm just too lazy to hunt down the disk. |
Spill coke on you computer/laptop, and claim it as an accident on your insurance. Works a charm.

I still have Windows 98SE because my computer won't run anything more and I can't afford another one. Running Windows XP on an 800MHz CPU with 256 megs of RAM does not sound fun. If it wasn't for BYOND, I'd completely switch to some form of Linux.

It would run decently, but XP is a crappy OS. Win2k is great though. |
Smoko, wtf? XP is a LOT better than 2k. Especially with SP2. It's more stable. Better security. You're smoking crack >_>. Windows XP with 800MHz and 256 RAM? You really only need at the most 128 RAM for XP to run, with twice that amount it'll run well. I'm not sure what the CPU spec req. is, but i'm positive 800MHz would be just fine.

XP treats you like a baby. When you try to turn the firewall off that comes with SP2 it almost annoys you into turning it back on.
|
I would be glad to unplug my 98 right now, box it, and send it to you.. It's actually pretty stable, except for the whole thing of pressing more than one button at a time and freezing the computer... mabey it's my keyboard though...

...Then I found out that the Google client doesn't work with Windows 98SE. I could probably configure a Jabber client easily enough, but all of my enthusiasm is gone. =(
