Troubleshooting Firewalls

Windows Vista / Windows XP built in firewall

Your Windows Firewall could be blocking DreamDaemon / DreamSeeker

Go to Start -> Control Panel. Double click on the "Windows Firewall" icon, as shown below:

On Windows Vista, you will arrive at this page:

Simply click on "Change Settings" to get to the next image.

On Windows XP, you will arrive at a page like this:

Ensure that your main page looks similar to mine. If the "On" radio button is not selected (Point #1), then move on to the next section, third-party firewalls.

Next, click on the "Exceptions" tab (Point #2). You will be brought to a page like this:

Click on the "Add Port" button. This page comes up:

Next to "Name:," write in the name of the game. For the port, put in the port that you would like to use for DreamDaemon, and click OK. Click OK, and try to host again. If this does not work

Im having hosting problems myself but "Bad world"(to tell you) is a problem related to the map usually.

I have Vista and i did all of the steps showed but i kepp getting "BYOND Hub: Connection Failed" everytime i try to log in.
I have added all the programs to the exceptions list, even turned my firewall off and still nothing works.
Can you help me please?
I added port 1000 (both type TCP and UDP) to the Exceptions list, however it still won't allow me to host over port 1000. Any idea what the heck is going on?
i always get that : "BYOND hub reports port 19234 cannot be reached by players."
i have no fire wall or router and this comes up: BYOND hub reports port 4570 cannot be reached by players.

A firewall or router may be interfering with your connection. For information on hosting worlds through a firewall or router, please visit BYOND Help or portforward.com.
