A Note from the Author: This guide to Harvest Moon: Trinity Ranch was originally created December 24th, 2009, with the intention of being used by new players, while also serving as an accurate reference for older users, but, as I began writing the guide, I noticed that as time moved on, the old, knowledgeable player base that had once been well-established, finally was beginning to fade away, thus prompting me to change this guide from a self contained, limited tutorial, to a complete overview of Trinity Ranch in its entirety. So that one day, when the knowledgeable player base is completely lost, the information and insights on how to play the game would never be entirely lost, and, potentially, one day, return to being the fun, happy, and praised community it once was. This guide, originally created for the official Harvest Moon: Trinity Ranch forums, has spawned into a Wiki of its own, and now is part of these BYOND forums. Its initial publication is flawed by errors, misconceptions, poor sentence structure, and is unchangeable. The second edition has been detrimental by design, and exists in an incomplete state. This, presumably final revision of the original "Complete Guide to Harvest Moon: Trinity Ranch" marks the pinnacle of three years of efforts and struggles, revisions and oversights. It is my greatest intension that any player that reads though this extensive, in-depth guide, will have access to 95% of the knowledge of how to play Harvest Moon: Trinity Ranch, and, finds that the last 5% can't be found in any guide, tutorial, or any similar publication, but discovers that 5% contains the fun, excitement, and adventure that can be found in Harvest Moon: Trinity Ranch. As the community dissipates, that final 5% becomes ever more buried. For a community of players is where that final 5% truly remains, trapped, but, it is always there, waiting to be uncovered...

How to Read this Guide
This guide was created as a reference, divided by sections and objectives, to help maintain organization, while still maintaining a level of understandability that can provide information to explain what you are looking at. This guide will help clear many misconceptions, which are caused by the game being unfinished and under-documented, while explaining its various features and benefits.

I. Reading the HUD, and Basic Game Systems
- Identity the various game HUDS.
- Learn the game's macros.
- Learn the saving System.
After starting a new game, or just logging in, you will appear here. The colored boxes around the various parts of the picture indicate the following:
Red: You, this is your icon, if your BYOND account was created with you as a male, then this is your icon, if your BYOND account was created as a female, then your icon is more feminine.
Dark Blue: This is the Help button, if you click it, it says the following:

Controls are:
Z - Get, Give, and Drop.
X - Swap tool.
C - Use, Talk, Read, and Eat.

Most of the links are broken. We will discuss what these macros are and how to use them in a moment.
Black: This is your gold. Gold is the currency in HM: TR. You can give gold to other players by clicking the appropriate value. E.G. If you click the 100th place value, then the player you are facing will gain 100 gold, while you will lose 100 gold.
Light Blue: This is your active tool. You can carry up to 3 tools at once, you can also cycle through them with X. You can use them with C.
- Purple: These are the rest of the HUD commands. To use them, just hover over the tab. they are:
--Mute: This command is broken.
--Who: allows you to see who is online.
--Observe: Allows you to watch another online player.
--Map: A map of Harvest Moon: Trinity Ranch; will be explained in more detail later in this guide.
If you clicked on the ? On your HUD, then you will have seen the list of macros:
Z: Get an item, give an item, or drop an item.
X: Cycles through your 3 tools, the one that is active is in your active tool slot.
C: Use a tool, talk to an NPC, read a book, eat food, and the proper mount/dismount key. This is your most commonly used macro.
V: "Shout out": This macro makes the items that you own, on the ground, move. It also makes your animals that are in your viewing area turn around in circles and move.
E: This allows you to examine an item.
W: Use to talk to a player who you are facing. Only that player will hear your message.
Space: Use to talk to everyone who is online.
/: This key use to be "stationary" This macro will make you stand in one spot and you will be able to turn, but unable to move. If you wish to use this macro, then type "stationary" into the command box and press enter.
-HM: TR's saving system requires you to be at least 5 game days old (about 40 minutes) before you will save. From that point forward it will save on log out every time.
II. Jack's House
- Map of Jacks house.
- Learn about the various points of information in Jack's house.
- Learn about the dairy.
If you move to the right a few spaces, the first building that you will come across is Jack's house. This is a very important place where you can find much of the information that you will need while playing the game.
Red: You!
Dark Blue: This is Jack, He was the previous owner of the farm, but now is retiring, and needs someone to take over. If you talk to him, he tells you several things and will even give you 500 gold.
NOTE: ALTHOUGH JACK TELLS YOU THERE IS 10 POWER BERRIES HIDDEN IN THE WORLD, THERE IS ONLY 3 POWER BERRIES, WHICH YOU GET RANDOMLY FROM PLOWING, FISHING, AND CHOPPING STUMPS.
Orange: This is the television. It tells you the weather, and runs ads for Mcduffles. It also mentions the shopping channel coming on the 5th, but that was never implemented and can be disregarded.
Light Blue: This is the calendar. It tells you "Calendar: It is day {number 1-12} of {Season}." Note that there are 12 days in every season and 4 seasons in a year That's 96 minutes for a season (over 1 1/2 hours) or 384 minutes for a year or a little under 6 1/2 hours.
Green: This is the clock. The clock shows what time of day it is, similar to a normal clock. When the clock's hand make one revolution, that's half a day (or 4 minutes). This is also when it changes from day to night or vice versa.
Purple: The red bins. These are lumber bins, you get lumber by chopping tree stumps with your axe. When you pull out lumber from the bins it appears as a fence. Fences can be used in crafting, and making fences around things, more will be explained on fences later into this guide.
White: This is the Heart Berry. This item can be bought for 1 gold and when eaten restores 1 stamina. This is the best ratio for gold/stamina restoration in the game. Contradictorily to popular beliefs, these do not raise sickness, they just don't cure it.
Yellow: This is where you get the blaster hoe. This tool is only gained access to by getting the farmer job (See Jobs). This hoe makes a 3x9 square of plowed land in one use.
Black: This is the Diary, probably one of the most used items in Jack's house. The diary tells you the follow in this format:
Occupation - - Your job. This can be changed when your education reaches 100%.
Stamina - {current stamina} / {max stamina}({sickness})- Your stamina vs. your max stamina. The green number is your sickness, which will cause you to lose stamina faster and sickness can be lowered by sleeping in a bed. Sickness is gained by trying to use a tool when you are out of stamina.
Animal Deaths - {number of animals that died} - How many animals of yours that have died.
Things Broken - {number of things you have broken} - How many things you have broken.
Education - {education percent} - Needed to change your job from ranch hand to something else (See Schooling).
Days Old - {how many days old you are} - How many game days old you are.
Total Gold - {total goal earned} - How much gold you have earned throughout your entire time playing. Giving gold to players does not make this rise, only selling items on the conveyer belt or the selling bins will earn you total gold. This is displayed in "K", where 1k = 1000 gold. Please note that this number is how you obtain golden tools (See Special Tooling).
Bees - {how many bees you have} - How many bees you have in the hives.
House - {what house number you have} - What your house number is.
Cows - {how many cows you have} /10 - How many cows you have out of 10.
Sheep - {how many sheep you have} / 10 - How many sheep you have out of 10.
Pigs - {how many pigs you have} / 10 - How many pigs you have out of 10.
Chickens - {how many chickens you have} / 15 - How many chickens you have out of 15.
III. Tool Shed
- Locate where and what the tool shed looks like.
- Identify the tools in the shed and their uses.
- Learn about storage.
This is the tool shed, a building full of the basic tools that you will use in HM: TR. These tools are all free to take, with the exception of the 3 items to the right, you have to buy these and they are not tools. There are upgrades to all of these tools (See Special Tooling). This building contains the following equipment, axe, hoe, hammer, scythe, watering can, and the bell.
Orange: This is the Axe. You pick this tool up and replace it as your active tool by pressing Z. You use this to smash tree stumps located around the world, when you do this you will receive 1 piece of lumber, which will automatically go to the red boxes. This tool takes 1 stamina to use.
Blue: This is the hoe. You pick this tool up and replace it as your active tool by pressing Z. You use this tool to farm land located in the 3 farming areas (See HM: TR Map). You also use this tool to mine with in the mines during the winter. This tool takes 1 stamina to use.
Purple: This is the hammer. You pick this tool up and replace it as your active tool by pressing Z. You can use this tool to break rocks, and unplow plowed farmland. This tool takes 1 stamina to use.
Light Blue: This is the scythe. You pick this tool up and replace it as your active tool by pressing Z. You use this tool primary to cut grown grass into fodder. When you cut grown grass you receive 1 piece of fodder, which will automatically go to the orange boxes. This tool can also be used to cut weeds and dead crops, but doing so has no benefits, besides clearing the land. This tool takes 1 stamina to use.
Green: This is the watering can. You pick this tool up and replace it as your active tool by pressing Z. You use this tool to water your crops. First you must fill it up by using it while facing a water source (See Farming). Then you use it while facing the single space you wish to water. The watering can must be refilled occasionally. This tool takes 1 stamina to use.
Red: This is the Bell. You pick this tool up and replace it as your active tool by pressing Z. You use this tool to move around farm animals that you can't pick up, which are cows and sheep. You can only obtain this tool by buying one of these animals (or a pig) from Bob's animal shop (See Shops and Goods). This tool takes 1 stamina, but if you run out of stamina, you can still use it. The animal must be in your viewing area to be affected by it.
White: This is the can of paint (right), and paint remover (left). The paint remover does not work. The can of paint does work however. You buy the paint for 200 gold. You can change the color of the paint by adding three different types of berries and each berry adds 20 into the color mixture, the three berries are wild green apples, red berries(appear randomly during the spring), and blue berries (appear randomly in the summer). From here, paint can be used only by carpenters, who can paint anything with the furniture tag on it (See Jobs).
Black
: This is a booster berry and it will make your run frantically for a short period of time. Although this is a pretty cool feature, it causes lag and is recommend not using. It costs 300 gold.Yellow: This is storage. This is where you can store items that you want to save, because on log-out many items will be lost, storage starts out with 35 spaces, but can be upgraded 5 spaces at a time, up to 80, by buying storage expansions (See Shops and Goods) and giving them to May. Storage will not save items placed in other items, so all items in a goods basket or storage crate will be lost if you log out.
IV. HM: TR Map
-See the world map.
-Identify places on the map.
Purple: These are the 3 farming areas. These are the only places in the game where you can farm. Unlike other farming games, everyone shares the same land. Note that your crops are your own and no one can tamper with them, with the exception of watering them. This also applies as a general rule to everything you do in this game, with a few exceptions.
Jack's house: This is where Jacks house is (See Jack's House).
Tool Shed: This is where the tool shed is (See Tool Shed).
School: This is where you go to school (See Schooling).
Inn: This is where you sleep at, the Inn is one of the most important buildings as it is how you restore your stamina, and check your stats via diary, such as is the one in Jack's house (See Shops And Goods).
Mine: This is where the mine is. Note that the mine is only accessible in the winter, and is located behind the water-fall behind the fisherman house. Please be sure that you are out by spring 1st so that you don't get trapped inside and have to wait till next winter or re-log to get out.
1: The Seed Shop. This is a crucial place to go if you wish to plant crops (See Shops And Goods).
2: The Egg Shop/Chicken Coop. (See Shops And Goods)
3: The Animal Tool Shop and the Charity. (See Shops And Goods)
4: The Dog Pound. Here you can adopt a dog for free. (See Animals)
5: The Furniture Shop. Here you can buy some important job items and furniture if you are rich enough to buy a house. (See Shops And Goods)
6: The Horse Stables. Here you can buy a horse. (See Shops And Goods)
7: The Wood Shop. (See Shops And Goods)
8: The Animal Shop. Here you can purchase animals. (See Shops And Goods)
9: The Blue Tool Shed. (See Special Tooling)
10: The Golden Tool Shed . It is also the entrance to the underground part of HM: TR, the underground part contains 2 important places, the gem mine, and the merchants guild (See Jobs)
11: The Bait Shop. It only sells one type of bait (See Shops and Goods).
12: The Bazaar. Here is where players can come and drop items onto a bench and the item will not break. This place is rarely used, because of its inconvenient location.
13: The Harvest Fairy Statue. Note there are two of these locations (See The Wish Fairy).
14: The Great Forge. This is where blacksmiths do their jobs. (See Jobs)
15: The Vineyard. This is a place only brewers and chefs can go to pick berries. (See Jobs)

17 The Trinibo Farm. Here you can take your Triniberry and feed it to a Trinibo (See Animals).
18 The Fisherman's House. Here you can get a fishing rod and the rod of the master baiter. (See Jobs)
19 The Peddler's House. On every 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th of each season, he comes and brings one random item, a golden chicken statue, singing branch, trinity toy bag, power source, shipping crate, or very rarely, the lucky medal.
V. Shops and Goods

This is the Inn. This can be found as the green box on the HM: TR map (See HM: TR Map). Here you can restore your stamina.
Black: This is the Inn Keeper. He is the owner of the Inn and if you talk to him he will give you the phone number for Mcduffles.
White: This is ol'Pete. The only thing he is good for is that he will give you 35 lumber and 20 fodders if you talk to him.
Green: Diary (See Jack's House).
Yellow: This is the telephone. You can use this to call Mcduffles and get fast food delivered to your location after a short period of time after calling. Mcduffles is closed at night.
Red: This is the all important bed, this is how you regain stamina. Note that these and player owned beds (See Jobs) are the only beds that can be used. All the other beds are for decoration. There are 6 beds in the Inn. If you notice the darker red, this is the space where you must stand completely still to sleep
Booster Berry: This item will make you run frantically for a short period of time (about 2 minutes). This item costs 300 gold and sells for 150 gold. This item is not recommended to use because of the lag it creates.
Merchant ID Pass card: This item is only able to be bought and used by merchants to enter the merchant's guild (See Jobs). This item costs 5000 gold.
Strawberry Pie: This will restore 7 stamina when eaten. This item costs 170 gold and sells for 85 gold.
Donut: This will restore 5 stamina when eaten. This item costs 150 gold and sells for 75. Apple Pie: This will restore 7 stamina when eaten. This item costs 200 gold and sells for 100.
This is the seed shop. Here is where you buy your seeds for growing crops. The seed shop appears as 1 on the HM: TR map (See HM: TR Map).
Red: These are storage boxes. (See Tool Shed)
Blue: This is the TV. (See Jack's House)
White: This is the calendar. (See Jack's House)
No weed: This works similar to planting crops (See Farming). This spreads a 3x3 area of no weed, which prevents weeds from growing until the crops die. This costs 150 gold and sells for 75 gold.
Goods Basket: This can be used to help speed up harvesting your crops. The way it works is you put up to 15 items into the goods basket and you carry it over to the selling bins and press C. BE SURE YOU PRESS C. IF YOU PRESS Z, IT WILL SELL THE BASKET!!! Goods baskets cost 1000 gold and sell for 500 gold.
Watermelon Seeds: These are used to plant and grow watermelons in the SPRING (See Farming). Watermelons seeds cost 480 gold and sell for 240 gold.
Onion Seeds: These are used to plant and grow onions in the SPRING (See Farming). Onion seeds cost 200 gold and sells for 100 gold.
Potato Seeds: These are used to plant and grow potatoes in the SPRING (See Farming). Potato seeds cost 200 gold and sell for 100 gold.
Turnip Seeds: These are used to plant and grow turnips in the SUMMER (See Farming). Turnip seeds cost 200 gold and sell for 100 gold.
Sweet Potato Seeds: These are used to plant and grow sweet potatoes in the SUMMER (See Farming). Sweet potato seeds cost 160 gold and sell for 80 gold.
Tomato Seeds: These are used to plant and grow tomatoes in the SUMMER (See Farming). Tomato seeds cost 300 gold and sell for 100 gold.
Corn Seeds: These are used to plant and grow corn in the SUMMER (See Farming). Corn seeds cost 300 gold and sells for 100 gold.
Carrot Seeds: These are used to plant and grow carrots in the SPRING AND SUMMER (See Farming). Carrot seeds cost 500 gold and sell for 250 gold.
Strawberry Seeds: These are used to plant and grow strawberries. You may plant these in any season but winter. (See Farming). Strawberry seeds cost 200 gold and sell for 100 gold.
Grass Seeds: These are used to plant and grow grass. Grass can be cut into fodder, and you may plant these in any season but winter. (See Farming). Grass seeds cost 500 gold and sell for 250 gold.
This is the egg shop and the chicken coop. Here you can buy eggs, seasoning, and spices.
Black: This is Mary. Her primary reason for existence is to buy fed chickens for 500 gold each. But she also tells you information about chickens.
White: This is the incubator. Here you can place eggs and hatch them into chicks (See Animals).
Egg: This is placed in an incubator and will hatch into a chick after 3 days, and then the chick grows into a chicken after 3 more days.
Jar of Seasonings: Used for various recipes (See Recipes).
Jar of Spices: Used for various recipes (See Recipes).
This is the animal tool shop/ charity. This appears as 3 on the HM: TR map (See HM: TR Map).
Black: This is sister Gaia. She is the charity lady, if you have 500 gold or less, then she will give you 1000 gold, up to 5 times. But if you have more then 100 gold, then she asks if you can give a donation. There is no benefit to donating to the charity.
White: This is the recipe book. It contains many job related recipes (See Jobs).
Milkier: This tool costs 2000 gold to buy and by pressing Z while facing it will replace it as your active tool. You use the milkier on fully grown cows to get milk (See Animals).
Grooming Brush: This tool costs 700 gold to buy and pressing Z while facing it will replace it as your active tool. You can use the grooming brush to raise a cow or sheep's happiness (See Animals).
Animal Medicine: This is used to cure an animal from sickness when they get sick. Animals get sick by not being fed (See Animals).
Sheep Shears: This tool is used to sheer a sheep. This is how you get wool (See Animals). It costs 2000 gold to buy and pressing Z while facing it will replace it as your active tool.
This is the furniture shop, here you can buy a few job related items, and furniture for your house. This appears as 5 on the HM: TR Map (See HM: TR Map).
Black: This is Leapol, He basically tells you that this is the furniture shop and you won't need anything here unless you have a job or a house.
Carpentry Work Bench: This is used by carpenters to make their various wares (See Jobs). The Carpentry Work Bench costs 5000 gold.
Stove: This is used by cooks to make their various wares (See Jobs). The Stove costs 5000 gold.
Craft Table: This is used by Charm Crafters to make their various wares (See Jobs). The Craft Table costs 3000 gold and sells for 1500 gold.
Television: This is a TV similar to that of the one in Jack's House (See Jack's House). The Television costs 1950 gold and sells for 975.
Record Player: This record player allows you to play music when placed in your house, to the people inside of your house. This costs 5000 gold and sells for 2500 gold.
Classic Bed Blueprint: This is used by carpenters to create a classic bed (See Recipes). The classic bed blueprints costs 2000 gold and sells for 1000 gold. Deluxe Bed Blueprints: This is used by carpenters to create a deluxe bed (See Recipes). The deluxe bed blueprints cost 4000 gold and sell for 2000 gold. Sign Blueprints: These are used by carpenters to create a sign (See Recipes). The sign blueprints cost 1000 and sell for 500.
This is the Horse Shop. Maria is here, but she does not say anything.
Black: This is an unsaddled horse. You can use a horse saddle on the horse to make it your horse (See Animals).
Horse Saddle: If you use this item on one of the horses outside of this building, it will become your horse (See Animals). The horse saddle costs 15000 gold and sells for 7500 gold.Booster Berry: This is a berry that when eaten will make you run at frantic speeds for a short period of time. This berry is not recommended to eat, due to the lag it creates. The booster berry costs 300 gold and sells for 150 gold. Wagon Blueprints: These are used by either a blacksmith or a carpenter to create a wagon (See Recipes). Wagon blueprints cost 2000 gold and sell for 1000 gold.
This is the Wood Shop. Here there are a few useful job items, along with storage upgrades.
Red: This is May. She hints at the recipe for the axe of the forester, and the two items she leaves out of the recipe are a magic forest diamond and honey glue.
Blue: A useless robot made by May.
White: Recipe Book: A book of recipes (See Recipes).
Nails: This is a box of nails used by carpenters to make various wares (See Recipes). Nails cost 200 gold and sell for 100 gold. Sandpaper: This is a box of sandpaper used by carpenters to make various wares (See Recipes). Sandpaper costs 100 gold and sells for 50.
Scarecrow: This is a scarecrow that has no purpose. The scarecrow costs 1500 gold.NOTICE: DO NOT BUY THE SCARECROW BECAUSE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET RID OF.
Storage Expansion Purchase: This is used to upgrade your storage by 5 items when given to May. You can use up to 9 of these before you can no longer upgrade your storage. This means you can have a max of 80 items in storage. Storage expansion purchases can be bought for 10000 gold and sold for 5000 gold.
Stack Of Lumber: A stack of lumber is used to increase your max lumber by 15. You use this item by tossing it into the red lumber bins. A stack of lumber costs 575 gold and sells for 287 gold.
This is the animal shop. Here is where you get "farm animals", such as pigs, cows, and sheep. This is number 8 on the HM: TR Map (See HM: TR Map).
Black: This is Bob. He is the owner of the animal shop. To buy animals from him, you must purchase the appropriate deed from the counter in front of him. Then you must give him the deed and the animal will appear in the white space below. To sell your animals, place them in the white area, and talk to him again and he will ask if you wish to sell them.
Red: This is the bell. A tool that you gain access to when an animal is bought (See Tool Shed).
White: This is the area where animals are bought and sold.
Bill of Cow Purchase: This is a cow purchase. You give this to Bob to receive your calf, (See Animals). The bill of cow purchase costs 5000 gold and sells for 2500 gold. Bill of Pig Purchase: This is a pig purchase. You give this to bob to receive your piglet (See Animals).The bill of pig purchase costs 2500 gold and sells for 1250 gold. Bill of Sheep Purchase: This is a sheep purchase. You give this to Bob to receive your lamb. (See Animals). The bill of sheep purchase costs 3500 gold and sells for 1750.
Stack of Fodder: This is a stack of fodder. This will give you 12 pieces of fodder when opened. This is useful if you are in a pinch for fodder. A stack of fodder costs 500 gold and sell for 250 gold.
This is Ann's Shop. Here is where you were supposed to be able to obtain the juicer, but was bugged. This is number 11 on the HM: TR Map (See HM: TR Map).
Black: This is Ann, The owner of the store.
Unpowered Juicer: The juicer is used by brewers to make their various wares (See Jobs). The juicer may be powered by using a power source that you obtain from the Peddler on it. You can not buy this item by normal means. You were suppose to earn the right to buy the juicer by buying a Trinity Toy collectors bag from the peddler, Filling it with the 3 trinity toys that you get from Mcduffles semi-happy meals, the turtle, the duck, and the snail. But this quest was bugged (See IMPORTANT HOSTING INFORMATION*).
Snow Cone Maker: This is an item used to make snow cones out of snowballs. You toss the snowball in and get a randomly colored snow cone out. This item costs 25000 gold and sells for 12500 gold.
This is the Bait Shop. It can be found at the beach and is number 11 on the HM: TR Map (See HM: TR Map). This is a shop primary for fishers (See Jobs), and it is even useless to them.
Black: This is Kyle. He manages the Bait Shop and basically tells you that if you wish to use bait, you have to have a tackle box (See Jobs).
Tassel Worm: This is bait used by fishers to catch more species of fish. To use this, you toss it into your tackle box. The tassel worm costs 100 gold and sells for 50 gold.
This is the Great Forge shop. Here is where blacksmiths work to create there wares (See Jobs).
Black: This is the recipe book, (See Recipes).
White: This is the Great Forage switch. This is used by blacksmiths when they are ready for something to be made. (See Jobs).
Sheet Metal: This is used by blacksmiths and other jobs to make their wares (See Recipes). Sheet metal costs 450 gold and sells for 225 gold.
Metal Links: These are used by blacksmiths and other jobs to make their wares (See Recipes). Chain links costs 600 gold and sell for 300 gold. Nuts and Bolts: These are used by blacksmiths and other jobs to make their wares (See Recipes). Nuts and bolts costs 200 gold and sell for 100 gold.
Bottle of Rust Guard: This is used by blacksmiths and other jobs to make their wares (See Recipes). A bottle of rust guard costs 85 gold and sells for 42 gold. Bottle Of Acid: This is used by blacksmiths and other jobs to make their wares (See Recipes). A bottle of acid costs 90 gold and sells for 45 gold.
Grease: This is used by blacksmiths and other jobs to make their wares (See Recipes). Grease costs 60 gold and sells for 30. Tool Blueprints: These are used by blacksmiths and carpenters to make the "blue tool" packages. (See Recipes) Tool blueprints costs 10000 gold and sell for 5000 gold. Wheel Blueprints: These are used by blacksmiths to make a set of wheels (See Recipes). Wheel blueprints costs 400 gold and sell for 200 gold.
This is the Beach House. This use to be a casino and Marge still thinks it is.
Black: This is Marge, A crazy old lady who can't seem to get her head around that this place is no longer a casino. She use to be the lady who you gave scratch cards to get a prize. But she no longer serves a purpose, nor does she tell you anything useful.
Triniberry: This is the item that you feed to a Trinibo to tame it as yours. A Trinibo acts as a portable storage box (See Animals). The Triniberry goes for the low price of only 100000 gold and sells for 0.VI. Farming

The basic idea of any Harvest Moon game is farming, the same idea goes for HM: TR. One of the great ways to make money is to farm. And, as with almost everything in this game, there is very little information on what to do when it comes to farming. This marks the point in this guide where it will appear more as a tutorial then a informational piece.
Congratulations! If you followed through these 6 steps, then you have learned the very basic principle of what to do in HM: TR. Now of course, that's just the very basics of what to do. There is many more ways to farm, from planting more then 1 3x3 plot, to having a complex combination of crops to maximize revenue.
You may use this chart to help you in planning what seeds you are going to plant and when. Take caution when using the total sale column, this includes the price of seeds that you would have planted through out all of the days that it grows.
Sun - This is a common weather condition. This has no special effects on your crops.
Snow - This is a common weather condition in winter and the first day of spring. This has no special effects on your crops, but may cause your fences to rot.
Rain - This is a semi - rare weather condition, this will water all your crops for you, but may cause your fences to rot.
Fog - This is a rare weather condition; this will cloud your vision and make it difficult to see what you are doing. This has no effect on your crops.

Animals are a major part of Harvest Moon and like so, Harvest Moon: Trinity ranch has its share of animals as well. Animals will be described in detail in this part of the guide, as well as their needs, products and uses.
There are 4 main types of animals in HM: TR that are directly used to make any substantial amount of money:
Fodder: All animals need fodder to keep them alive, with the exception of the chicken, which only needs fodder to produce eggs. All other animals will die without eating fodder everyday. Starting fodder can be obtained by talking to ol'Pete in the inn (See Shops and Goods). Additional fodder may be obtained by growing grass seeds and harvesting it with the scythe. (See Farming)Happiness: Although an animal will not die from low happiness, it will not produce as good of a product if happiness is low. Pigs, sheep, and chickens are not affected by happiness. Happiness can be increased by using a brush on the animal a few times a day (See Shops and Goods).
Animal Medicine: This is used when an animal becomes sick. An animal becomes sick when you do not feed it for a number of days and an animal will die from sickness, even if fed again, without medicine. Medicine can be obtained from the Charity/Animal Shop (See Shops and Goods) Chickens are not affected by sickness."Cash" Animals
Chickens
Chickens are the cheapest and easiest to maintain of any of these 4 animals. It only requires food if you want it to create eggs. They never get sick, and they require no brushing. They also have the shortest growth period of any of the other 4.The chicken coop is # 2 on the HM: TR Map (See HM: TR Map).To hatch a chicken, you must first obtain an egg, you may do this by getting one from one of your other chickens, or buying one from the egg shop to the left of the chicken coop. An egg from the Chicken shop costs 200 gold. Then the egg must be placed into an incubator. You can place more then one egg on an incubator at one time. The egg will take 3 days to hatch into a chick.
A chick takes 3 days to grow into a Chicken. From there if you feed it for 3 days in a row it will lay an egg. Everyday after that you feed it fodder, it will lay an egg. If you miss a feeding, you will have to feed it for 3 more days before it will lay another egg. You may have up to 15 chickens at once. The chickens appear in the outside area of the chicken coop on re-log.To sell a chicken, you must first feed it, then carry it to Mary inside of the chicken shop and she will buy it for 500 gold.
If you wish to get chicken feathers from your chicken, leave it outside at night and if a wolf sees it, it may try to eat it and when it does, there will be chicken feathers. When a wolf eats a chicken, The chicken feathers do not have an owner. So be sure to pick the feathers up before someone else does.
The golden chicken statue's use is unknown. It is assumed to do nothing.
Pig
Pigs are the next easiest to care for because they do not need happiness. But they will still get sick
and die if not fed. Pigs take 7 days to grow from a piglet
to a pig. As a pig, they will randomly dig up truffles, which are used for various recipes (See Recipes).To sell your pig, you must take it to where it appeared (See Shops and Goods),then talk to bob and he asks if you want to sell it. The pig's selling value varies depending on how old the pig is, up to 7540 gold. The pig appears in the fenced area behind the animal shop on re-log.
Sheep
Sheep are more difficult to care for then pigs or chickens, because they are affected by all of the factors, sickness, fodder and death, and require the sheep sheers to collect the wool. You can purchase a sheep by buying the sheep deed from the animal shop and giving it to bob to receive your lamb. A sheep deed costs 3500 gold. A sheep needs to be fed everyday. It takes 9 days to grow from a lamb
to a sheep. you use the sheep shears to obtain wool from the sheep when its coat is full.Wool is used by different jobs for various recipes. The sheep appears in the fenced area behind the animal shop on re-log.To sell your sheep, you must take it to where it appeared (See Shops and Goods), then you talk to Bob and he will ask if you want to sell it.
Cow
Cows are the most complex animal to deal with. First, because they are affected by every factor, including sickness 
. They also cost the most, 5000 gold. You can buy a cow the same way as the other "cash" animals. Cows need to be brushed several times a day. When you use the milkier on the cow, you will either get small milk, or large milk, depending on how happy your cow is. It takes 11 days for your calf
to grow into a cow. Milk can be sold, or used in various recipes. The cow appears in the fenced area around the animal shop on re-log.
Chocolate cows: If you buy a coco bean from the merchant's guild (See Jobs) and feed it to a cow, it will make it a chocolate cow. The advantage of a chocolate cow is that it gives chocolate milk which is sold for more then normal milk and is used in various recipes (See Recipes). And, chocolate cows always give large chocolate milk. So you do not have to worry about happiness. But you still must feed it or it will get sick
and die.To sell a cow, you must take it to where it appeared (See Shops and Goods), then talk to bob and he asks if you want to sell it.
"Transport" animals
Horse
The Horse is one of two animals you can ride on. The Horse is mounted with C and dismounted with C. You can dismount with Z, but it will bug your horse icon and density and the only way to fix it is to re-log. The horse acts very similar to the selling bin. You can press z while holding an object and facing the horse to sell it. Like the selling bin, you can only sell during the day. But you cannot dump goods baskets into the horse. To own a horse, you must buy a horse saddle from the horse stable (See Shops and Goods). Then press C while facing a unsaddled horse 
. Then you give it a name, and then you can ride it. When you re-log, you horse will appear at the horse stable and you will have to go there to get it.Trinibo
The trinibo is the other animal that you can mount. The trinibo is also mounted with C and dismounted with C. You can dismount with Z, but it will bug your trinibo's icon and density and you will need to re-log to fix it. The trinibo acts as a portable storage bin. To own a trinibo you must buy a triniberry from the beach house, and give it to a trinibo located to the left of the beach house. It will prompt you to give it a name. If you re-log the trinibo will appear near you.Other Animals
There are a few other types of animals that can be found roaming around HM: TR. These animals have their own individual special things that they do.
Squirrel - This animal runs around and pick up items with the (Food) and (Drink) tags next to their name. If you pick up a Squirrel, it drops what it is carrying, although some things are lost in this process.
Wolf - This animal comes out only at night to eat. A wolf will eat chickens (And leave feathers) and squirrels (and leave nothing).
Butterfly - There are two different types of butterflies, the gold butterfly and the blue butterfly. You can capture these butterflies by using a bug net. A butterfly in a jar can be sold for 150 gold or used in various recipes. There is also one other butterfly, and his name is Mr. Helpful, which although you can't catch him, you can talk to him, but he doesn't say anything.
Dogs - You can obtain a dog by visiting the dog pound and talking to Lisa and getting a dog bone 
( #4 on the HM: TR Map). Dogs use to chase away rabbits, but they no longer have a purpose, because rabbits are no longer a part of the game.
Bees - Bees spawn randomly when a flower is planted. You get flowers by buying a bag of either purple orchard seeds or golden tail tip seeds from the flower shop. The flowers themselves only need to be watered twice and when they are fully grown, they do not need to be watered again. Then using the bug net, you can get bees in the jar and toss them into the honey bee hives. The formula for getting honey requires both bees, and flowers. Note that bees do have a chance of breaking out of the hive when collecting honey or putting a new bee in.
X. The Wish Fairy

The wish fairy can be found as #13 on the HM: TR Map (See HM: TR Map).To receive wish points you must bring a item to the wish fairy statue and press Z while facing the statue and she will change into a fairy
, The following message will appear The Harvest Goddess says: Wow, {Item name}, your very kind {key name}, I will make sure this goes to someone who needs it. (You have earned some wish-points). The amount of wishpoints you receive are 1/4 of how much the item sells for.If you press C while facing the statue, a box will appear, it will also tell you how many wish points you have.
The list of wishes:
Gold - 350 wish-points - Gives a random amount of gold (Between 0 to 5000 gold?).
Restore stamina - 400 wish-points - Completely restores your stamina.
Restore stamina everyone - 1700 wish-points - Completely restores everyone stamina.
Rain - 700 wish-points - Makes the weather rainy tomorrow. NOTE: THIS NO LONGER WORKS!
Healthy animals - 900 wish-points - Cures your animals of sickness.
Speed - 120 wish-points - Makes you run at frantic speeds for a short time. Similar to the booster berry, also this not recommend to be used.
Cure Sickness - 400 wish-points - Cures your sickness.
Play some music! - 600 wish-points - Allows you to play a song to the world.
XI. Schooling

One of the factors that really intertwine the community is jobs and occupations, and school is how you get a job. The basics of school are that you get your education to 100% and then you can choose a job.
This is the inside of the school. Here is where you will spend almost a game year doing what appears to be nothing. The school can be located as yellow on the HM: TR Map (See HM: TR Map). The school is only open in the day, and even if you do manage to enter the school at night, education will not be gained.
If you look to the left you will see professor Tiki, he is the "teacher" who doesn't do much but give you the option of what job you want when your education reaches 100%.
To the right you will see two books. To use these books you will first have to buy them, and then you will hold the book in your hands and just stand at the desk, there is no animation that indicates that you are studying. You must use the books in this order, red, blue, and brown. You can check your education present by going to a diary.
Basic Text Book: This is the first text book you will need to buy. This book costs 5000 gold. This book will raise your education present to 45. At the rate of 3% a day, which is the approximate amount of education gained from the text book in a single day of full studying, will take you 15 game days, 120 minutes, or 2 hours. Note: After you finish the text book, a green message will appear saying that the book is no longer challenging and you need to move on to the advance text book. When you finish the red text book, it will not disappear, you can fix this by picking up a rock, or any other item. But, if all else fails, re-log.
Advance Text Book: This is the second text book you will need to buy, this book costs 7500. This book will raise your education present from 45% to 90%. At the rate of 2% a day, which is the approximate amount of education gained from the blue text book in a single day of full studying, will take you about 22.5 game days, 180 minutes, or 3 hours. Note: After you finish the text book a green message will appear saying that the book is no longer challenging and you need to move onto the master text book. This book will disappear when you are finished.
Master Text Book: This is the last text book you need. You cannot buy this text book, instead you must talk to the professor (Not prof. tiki!) and bring him a pearl, who is located above the second harvest goddess (The 13 to the far right on the HM: TR Map (See HM: TR Map)). You may obtain a pearl by going to the beach. Here you will find 6 oyster shells, to get a pearl you must pick these up and break them on the ground by dropping them, and, at random, a pearl may appear. AFTER YOU HAVE TALKED TO THE PROFESSOR AFTER REACHING 90% EDUCATION, you can give him a pearl and in return you will receive a brown text book. This book with bring your education from 90% to 10% at the rate of 1% a day, which is the approximate amount of education gained from the brown text book in a single day of full studying, will take you 10 days, or 80 minutes, or 1 and 1/3 of an hour. Note: After you finished the text book a green message will appear saying that you are finished with school!Now that you have finally completed school, 47.5 game days total, or almost a game year, which is 48 days, this also means you have spent 380 minutes in school, or 6 and 1/3 hours. Yes, it was a very long and generally boring process, but now you can talk to professor Tiki and he will give you a choice of what occupation you wish to have. (See Jobs). Note: You can only choose one job, and once you pick a job, you can never change it. Now you can enjoy the benefits of whatever job you have chosen. (See Jobs)
XII. Jobs

After reaching 100% education, you are given the choice to pick a job, There are 10 different jobs you can pick from, each which has its own advantages and disadvantages. Similar to the HUD mute, HUD who, HUD observes, and HUD map. For some jobs, tabs like these will appear along the left hand side of the screen that will allow the job to do more actions. Here is a list of the ten jobs you are given to pick.

Carpenter
The carpenter job is a job that focuses on creating useful items and tools. Please see the recipe book in game or the Recipe book section of this guide for a more detailed description of what the items this job can make look like and do. This job uses the carpenter's bench to create items.
Paint furniture: Using a can of paint that you can buy from the tool shed, you can paint any furniture you own whatever color the paint that you made is. Please note that this requires stamina to do and you can only paint items with the (furniture) tag beside the name when you examine it.
Repair fence: Using this you can take a broken piece of fencing that was broken by the rain or snow and fix it.Brewer
The brewer job is a job that also focuses on creating useful items and drinks. Please see the recipe book in game or the recipe book section of this guide for a more detailed description of what the item this job can make look like and do. This job uses the juicer to create items, please note this can not be obtained by normal means (See IMPORTANT HOSTING INFORMATION*). The juicer must be powered to be able to brew anything. This job also has access to the vineyard, located above the beach house.
Chef
The chef is a job that focuses on creating useful items and food. Please see the recipe book in game or the recipe book section of this guide for a more detailed description of the items this job can make look like and do. This job uses the stove to create items. This job also has access to the vineyard, located above the beach house.
Forge food: This tab allows chefs to randomly find certain items, according to the season, some of the items they can forage are grapes, oranges, forest diamonds, frozen dew, years end sage, and moon drop berries.Farmer
The farmer is a job that's main focus is making money. This job has no recipes, but they do get 10% more cash from anything they put into the brown shipping box. They also gain access the amazing blaster hoe, after talking to jack, he will tell you that you can use the blaster hoe that is located in the cabinet in the kitchen. Only farmers can use this tool. Farmers are also the only job that can use the whirl wind scythe, after getting the tool package for it (See Special Tooling).
Doctor
The doctor is a job thats main focus is working with animals. This job also has no recipes. But they do receive 3 tabs that are useful when dealing with animals.
Examine animal: This will tell you the animal's owner, happiness, and sickness.
Cheer animal: This will make the animal happier.
Cure animal: This will cure the animal of its sickness.
Cure player: This does not work.Merchant
The merchant is a job that is focused on buying and selling, they also have no recipes. Merchants get a 20% discount on everything that they buy. They can also buy the merchants pass from the inn to enter the merchants guild, which is located underground and there is a number of items they can purchase including shipping crates blueprints, honey glue, red berries, blue berries, rusty axes, iron nuggets, and coco beans.
Price Item: When a merchant faces an item they own and want to sell to a player, they can use this button to set a price, and any player that wishes to buy it can purchase it for the price the merchant sets.Charm Crafter
This job works on creating very useful items. Specifically charms. (See Recipes) They use the crafting table to create their wares. This occupation also has access to the gem mine, which is located near the merchant's guild. Here diamonds and fire diamonds are mineable.
Blacksmith
This job also works on creating very useful items and tools. (See Recipes) They use the great forage to create their wares. The great forage can be identified as number 14 on the HM: TR Map (See HM: TR Map) To use the great forage you must put the items you wish to combined on the north conveyor belt, and when all the items are in the forage, then you can press the round switch near the bottom of the forge, to make it, then the bottom conveyor belt is where your item comes out. This occupation also has access to the gem mine, which is located near the merchant's guild. Here diamonds and fire diamonds are mineable.
Fisher
This job main focus is fishing, to obtain the rod of master baiter and your tackle box, you can talk to the fisherman. The tackle boxes only real use is that you can put fish in them and you can empty it on the ground without anything breaking. The rod of master baiter can be used to fish in salt water and fresh water, and there are a number of different fish you can catch in salt water (The Beach) then fresh water (See Special Tooling) The fisher job is the only job that can use the rod of master baiter, which can be used to find ocean diamonds.
Ranch Hand
This is the default job, and if you choose this it is the equivalent to clicking cancel. You can choose an actual job at a later time.

There are a number of recipes that people with certain jobs can make. The easiest way to find out what most of these recipes are is by looking in the recipe book in the game, or looking here. Although most recipes are listed here. We know for a fact that this is not all of them. You may mix the ingredients together in any order and still get the item, but you must follow the recipe or else you will get junk.

Tool Handle - Treated Wood + Metal Bar- The tool handle is what is needed to make most tools: the rod of deep blue, the whirl wind scythe, and the shears deluxe package.
Classic Bed - Treated Wood + Box of Nails + 
Chicken Feathers + Classic Bed Blueprints- This is the classical bed, similar to the beds in the inn. You can sleep in it and it will restore stamina. The advantage of this is that if you don't own a house, you can sleep anywhere you place the bed.
Deluxe Bed- Treated Wood + Box of Nails + Chicken Feathers + Deluxe Bed Blueprints-Similar to the classical bed, you can sleep anywhere in this be and it will restore stamina.
Singing Branch- Flakes of Silver + Treated Wood + Gold Dust +
Shell Powder-This is the singing branch. The singing branch can also be bought from the peddler, it is used to receive the fishing rod from the fisherman, and it is a part of the rod of deep blue recipe.

Grapes- This is a drink that will restore some stamina and can also be used to create: the super soda.
Orange Soda - Packets of Soda + 
Orange- This is a drink that will restore some stamina and can also be used to create: the super soda.
Strawberry Soda - Packets of Soda + 
Strawberries- This is a drink that will restore some stamina and can also be used to create: the super soda.
Super Soda - Orange Soda + Grape Soda + Strawberry Soda- This is a drink that will restore some stamina.
Soda Water - Packets of Soda-This is a drink that will store some stamina and is also used to make: sleepy tonic, and plant growth booster.
Malt Beer - 
Sack of Barely + 
Hops-This is a drink that will restore some stamina and WOULD have been used to make the power beer.
Spiced Beer- Sack of Barely + Hops + 
Jar of Spices-This is a drink that is used to restore some stamina and WOULD have been used to make the power beer.
Power Beer - Malt Beer + Spiced Beer- This a beer that would have restored some stamina and cause you to run at frantic speeds, similar to the booster berry. But this recipe does not work.
Flower Dew - 
Pink Wild Flowers + 
Tiger Tail Flowers-Flower dew is what most of the brewer's recipes require. It can be used to make: apple essence, mushroom essence, sleepy tonic, plant growth booster, magic forest diamond, magic ocean diamond, and magic fire diamond.
Apple Essence - Flower Dew + 
Wild Apple- Apple essence is a drink that will restore some amount of stamina and can be used to make: plant growth booster, rabbit charm, and the velvet brush package.
Mushroom Essence - Flower Dew + Mushroom- Mushroom essence is a drink that will restore some amount of stamina and be used to make: plant growth booster, and whirl wind scythe package.
Sleepy Tonic - Flower Dew + Soda Water + 
Jar of Honey + 
Year End's Sage-Sleepy tonic is used to make your restore stamina faster while sleeping. This can also be used to make the deluxe sleepy tonic.
Deluxe Sleepy Tonic - Sleepy Tonic + 
Frozen Dew-Deluxe sleepy tonic is similar to the sleepy tonic, but you restore more stamina then with the sleepy tonic while sleeping.
Plant Growth Booster - Soda Water + Flower Dew + Shell Powder + Essence of Apple + Essence of Mushroom-Plant Growth Booster is used to reduce the amount of time it takes crops to regrow.
Bass Oil - 
Fresh Water Bass-This is a drink that will restore some stamina or can be used to make: the rod of deep blue, and the cat charm.

Steamed Truffle - Truffle + Wild Tyme-When eaten this will restore some stamina. This can also be used to make the Pig charm.
Honey Glue - Jar of Honey + Shell Powder-When eaten this will restore some stamina. This can also be used to make: the shipping crate, and sign.
XIV. Special Tooling
- Observe the tools in the golden tool shed.
- Observe the tools in the "blue tool" shed.
- Identify how to obtain these tools and what the advantages are.
In official HM games, there are always "upgrades" to your tool sets, and the same applies with HM: TR. Though out this guide there have been notes of special tooling. Special tooling is really anything that can't be bought, or tends to be difficult to obtain.
This is the golden tool shop. This can be located as #10 on the HM: TR map (See HM: TR Map). The way you gain access to these tools is by earning total K.
Red - The Golden Hammer: This is similar to the normal hammer. But it will destroy a 3x3 area in front of you of rocks or plowed land. You can also use this hammer to destroy rock piles in one hit. Obtained at 75 total K.
Yellow - The Golden Hoe: This is similar to the normal hoe. But it will plow a straight line of 5 spaces in front of you. When you use this hoe, you cannot use it to mine, and when plowing land, there is a chance that a rock will appear. Obtained at 175 total K.
Green - The Golden Scythe: This is similar to the normal scythe, but it will cut down a 3x3 area around you of grass, weeds or crop rot. Obtained at 50 total K.
Purple - The Golden Sprinkler: This is the last golden tool you can obtain. It is also the considered the most useful. This will water a 3x3 area of crops around you. This tool also never needs refilled. Obtained at 200 total K.
Light Blue - The Golden Axe: This is similar to the normal axe. The main difference is that you get 2 pieces of wood from a stump. Obtained at 125 total K.
This is what is considered the "blue tool" shed. To get access to any of the tools here you have to use tool packages that are made by a blacksmith or a carpenter.
Black - The shears deluxe allows you to get 4 pieces of wool each time you clip your sheep.
White - The rod of deep blue is similar to the rod of master baiter. This will allow you to catch fish in the ocean. The fish you can catch in the ocean are
sharkfin, 
catfish, 
blue wide mouth,
and crabRed - The whirl wind scythe will create a tornado that will slice though 10 spaces in front of you. Only farmers can use this tool.
Blue - The velvet brush is similar to the normal brush, but it significantly increases an animal's happiness. This takes 20 stamina per use.
Yellow - The axe of the forester is similar to the other axes, but you get 8 pieces of lumber from a single stump. This axe is also "thrown" so you have the potential to hit more then one stump at a time. You may notice that the recipe for this axe is not in the recipe book.
Blaster Hoe: This is similar to the other hoes, but you can only gain access to this hoe by choosing the farmer job. This hoe makes a 3x3 space the expanses forward 5 spaces.
Rod Of Master Baiter: This tool is gained by choosing the fisher job and talking to the fisher man. This allows you to fish in fresh water and salt water. Using this rod in fresh water you can catch gold fish, and in salt water you can catch rusty scythes and ocean diamonds.XV. Housing

Black - Examine this sign to find out the price of the house, and press C while facing the sign to buy it.
When you buy a house, a HUD like this appears. Each one of these colors and the center piece are a button, and do individual things.When you buy a house, you lose your ability to sleep in a bed anywhere.
Note: Items with the Furniture tag must be in your house for 2 game days before they will save.
XVI. Other - Hints and Tips
- Learn about other things that don't quite fit in anywhere else.
To throw and control a snowball, you press C, then you can press a directorial key and then press C again and the ball will move that direction.
If you give the Inn keeper a chicken he will tell you that if you give him a jar of spices, he will make you trinity fried chicken. This sells for more then a chicken and jar of spices.
