Well hey all you BYONDers out there.

I finally decided to go ahead and get a membership. It has some nice perks, and yeah, I've been around BYOND for quite some time, so I figured I could show my support.

Anyway, for those of you whom may know me from the "old days", I just recently came back to assist on Naruto GOA. Now I had lost all faith in BYOND for quite some time, seeing all the anime games just be rips of Zeta and then eventually WOTS. It was just the same thing over and over. But once I had the opportunity to check out GOA, it completely won me over. Everything was so original and new, it was just a sight for sore eyes. Dan has done an amazing job with this game, and its definitely a big step in innovation for BYOND Anime games, and BYOND as a whole.

But as all the anime-haters tend to say, you can't brag without having the game up for people to see. Which for the most part is true. (even though we have reached #1 rank without being online haha). So over the past few weeks, Dan and myself have kicked it into high gear, and we are expecting to be able to launch the Beta very soon. So I hope all you fans will be there to join us on launch day :-D

Anyway, thanks for checking out my blog here, and if you don't have anything nice to say, please keep it to yourself. Thanks.
Seriously.... If this game is so innovative, why like every other Naruto game on BYOND, are the villages composed of a few houses connected by a dirt road?

Well I will take it that you haven't seen the newest version of the map, well most people haven't so yeah. Anyway, each village consists of much more than a few houses. GOA's maps are exceedingly more expansive and visually pleasing than any other Naruto.. heck any other Anime based game on BYOND.

I am not the one who does the maps though, so I can't go into details.

Anyway, there is a lot more to being innovative than the way villages are organized. It is innovative in many ways, mainly in the way that the game systems are i.e. training, combat, skills etc. They are unlike any other, and in playing the game this is easy to realize.

Be glad i threw that dirt road and few houses together for a public alpha in the first place. The map is 46 100x100 maps made with the map making kit, which means its going to be the sexiest and most expansive map youll see on a byond game because its the first one to bother automating mundane tasks to the point where so many maps can be done. At any rate, the reason why an Alpha build only had a few buildings should be obvious to most people.
