Okay, well, I have sort of a problem when I wake up in the morning. A lot of the times, in the morning, when I wake up, my brain wakes up before my body. This happens for a good minute or so. While this is happening, I can hardly breath, I can't move, I can't talk, etc. My eyes open some of the time. I try my hardest to breathe while this is happening, then my body snaps into action and I can move again after a minute or so. It sucks. Then when I try to fall back asleep, I wake up ten minutes later with the same problem. This happen to me like six times in a row in one morning every time I try to go back to sleep. So then I say "screw it" and just get up.
Why does this happen to me? Does it have to do with me doing really bad drugs awhile ago and now my body is all screwed up or something? Does it have to do with me drinking a lot of alcohol? Or is it just a problem some people get. This never used to happen to me. I mean, it has happened a few times before, but not like this. It happens daily now.
Should I seek help? Should I consult a doctor?

I suggest you not do the drugs, and cut back on drinking. Yeah, I stopped the drugs a little over a year ago now. Also, I don't drink as much as I used to since I am working out. I used to drink and workout but the results were slow, so now I just drink occasionally (well, I try too) and work out. *EDIT: I just thought of something. Does anything cause the body to not stop producing the paralyzing drug fast enough? Or at least help to make it not stop? I mean, I take some supplements before and after I workout, and some throughout the day. Do supplements like Creatine, L-Carnitine, Amino Acids, and stuff like that make the paralyzing drug keep going even after I wake up? |
Did you piss your doctor off? I mean, BYOND's helpful and everything, but I think something of this magnitude should be looked at by a doctor that specializes with sleeping related problems.

Yeah, but I don't know a doctor that specializes in sleeping related problems, and I hate hospitals. I'd rather not drive to the hospital to find out when I can just find out here. Also, this is not a big problem.

Yeah, I'd highly recommend consulting a doctor. It could be nothing, and something that he basically tells you to just get used to, but it might also be a sign of some bigger problem. I've heard of the problem before, and I believe my brother had the same problem sometimes, but I'm no expert.

<< It is known as Lucid dreaming, a state where the mind sleeps and the body is awake, try googling it.
