Ok, so they are hardly the most exciting updates, but its still big to me because I now consider them "finished". Communism2 and Zetris were just on the edge of what I can finished.

It doesn't necessarily mean this is the end for either of them, but its at a level now where I believe that they are polished enough to be a full game, and thus adding to the thankfully increasing list of games that I consider finished. I would be happy enough to leave these two games as they are now, but if I feel the need I can always pick up a quick update.

For Zetris, the lower end of the two, there is little more than a rework of some of the in-game messages, replacing the high score table (which worked at first, then collapsed into errors) which I cooked up on a free site ages ago with the local txt one like in Slide-o-Snake (hey I don't mind copy pasting even if its a simplistic form of recording scores as long as it works), and also added a sort of indicator that the top 3 lines is the "no-go" area. Zetris was never intended to be fantastic and just a side project while testing some stuff out, so I'm happy with it. Rather than update this again, I'd likely start from scratch with Zetris 2.

Communism 2 wise, used the same high score system (original I know), cleaned up some of the in-game messages, and added a key at the top for points and moves (there is also a move counter (number of clicks) for the moves section). Communism 2 was intended to make a good game out of the original Communism that I had created, which was a botch job of a game and I quickly decided to start again. It still exists, as a show of how its improved for those that wish to see. Looking at it now, it doesn't really have an intro for explanation, so an Exploder-styled helpguide will probably come about when I have time in a quick update in future (although it should be relatively simple to understand anyway-its collapse). As for future updates, I did intend some kind of multi player interaction (there is 5 boards available in-game, but all single player) other than that though, I would say it was complete. As for Communism 3, I will have to review whether or not (like in Geekdash) there is room for variation to warrant a third game. Even Columns and Tetris Attack, two classic block games managed to provide variation in their games to different levels.

Well, that pretty much wraps up those two games, I'm glad they are off my chest and in the "fin" folder. A clean, finished product does wonders for moral, particularly when you go alone like me.

There was one other use I wanted for this post today, and that was a new poll. If you like Exploder and would like to take part in a tournament, could you state which day is best for you, thanks.
