Okay, for those who do not know, my dad is a trucker. He told me I could have my birthday present early, and for those who haven't heard, my old computer fried on me. So, I told him a new computer, and he said my limit was 700 dollars. So, I have looked around and figured out what I wanted to get. He's giving me until Monday to make up my mind.

The case, definitely the first one. As for everything else.. you're joking right? Here, let me give you some recommendations.
Power Supply Those are two power supplies in there, how're you going to fit them in the case? 650watt is just overload, 450 watt can run everything, it'll run an 8800GTS. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817104954 Get that instead of your other choice. Hard Drive, it's looking good. However, a 320GB hard drive is more bang for the buck, so I would suggest spending the extra 11 dollars for a quality 320GB, 11 dollars for 70GB... sounds good! Motherboard - Alright, there's no need for you to get that motherboard if your processor is going to suck like that. Here's a good AMD motherboard. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138026 Processor - A celeron.. are you kidding me? You can get a DUAL CORE for that much. Here's a good processor for you. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103046 Memory and CD drive are fine. Now, as for your video card, the 8500GT is complete crap. It has GDDR2 memory, it'll take a BIG hit in performance because of that. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130085 The 8600GT is much better. So with everything added up, that should come out to... 541 dollars. Now, I hope you have an operating system ready. I just gave you a build that'll save you cash while having WAY more performance. If you want to discuss any upgrades, my AIM is SpikeNeedleX, my MSN is [email protected], you can page me or just go on wiz_Chat. That or just, you know, post here. |
