Well I've come into figuring out how I wish to design cities right now, and I've decided that no matter how I map them out all unimportant buildings will be capable of being fully demolished.

With that said I also wish to add in an actual city feel, not the same-old skyscrapers and sidewalk only cities that most generic RPGs show, I want billboards and advertisements too.

So I'm holding a little offer to advertise whatever it is you promote within the game. Be it a website, game, project, or even a little graphic you'd like to see placed somewhere. The only rules are that it has to be acceptable (No pornography, offensively strong language, or prejudice material) and you need to present some sort of generic image for me to base it off of.

That's all you have to do for some free advertisement, and it'll help me give a general city feel as well.

Edit: If you can't make anything but still want your expression, check out Graffiti Gen

Sure! Give me some dimensions and I'll make up a set of ads, no prob. Are they plain flat billboards, or are they shown from different perspectives? It'd be great to do up some TV ads for a giant screen like those in Time Square.
I want a big picture of Cobbo on the side of the largest building.
You can also stick the official BYOND guilds in there :)

Maybe I can get Darke to make a "We want YOU!" sign for BYOND Action.

And, of course, you need some kind of a "Got Milk?" spoof.
I'll make an Ilithyia logo. Great idea by the way.
You can make like ads that say like become a byond member...to support BYOND

Like "Got Ginyu?" :P
Some government sponsored anti-rip propaganda would be cool.
You might want to consider graffiti as well. That's always a nice touch.

Something like that? It was a quick two-minute thing, I can do better if I put a few more minutes into it.
Dimensions really don't matter, because no matter what it is I'll eventually have to draw it into the same style as the game. So don't go all out with embossing or large-scale gradients. Something simple and to the point works, but flashy is always good too.

Graffiti styles are also welcome too for those non-billboards.

Style is very important to advertisers. If I had control over Apple's ad campain, I'd get ride of the 'i' at the start of each of their products, though I'm sure Apple feels very strongly about 'branding'. If I had a feel for the size these ads will be, I could prepare images which wouldn't have to be redrawn at all.

If, for example, ads will be 64x32, then I'd much rather give you this image and know that it'll end up looking just like that, than sending you this image and have it turn out looking like this.
Sure it's very important for advertisers, but this is for in-game and not for simple advertisement.

Each ad I receive on here I will have to redraw to fit the in-game style (color-mapping, etc...) and the dimensions don't matter to you folks because most ads will be thrown into a variety of them.

I don't want anybody to think that I will simply copy and paste their work onto the map, these things will go from being scaled to the side of buildings, to billboards, TV ads, and possibly graffiti.

What I'm looking for is an image or logo to base these graphics that I will be drawing. Something like Nadrew's will look nothing like the in-game presentation, simply because such a heavy gradient will not fit in the cartoony scheme.

Edit: Speaking of graffiti, if you simply want a graffiti mark in the game and don't know how to draw one, check out http://www.graffitigen.com/

All of which I could do, and do in a way which would both fit your game AND portray my product the way I'd like to :P

But I can see why you wouldn't want to have to give out little tiny details for each and every instance of an ad, so you can use the gnome icon from the previous image, along with the words "Play the Game, Be the Gnome", "Be the Gnome", "George Gnome", or just "G.Gnome". The gnome icon can be scaled to any size; heck, I've got one hanging in my room where each pixel is larger than half an inch square.

Heh, I figured those wouldn't be good, but I was just too lazy to turn them off. Like I said I just tossed something together real quick to see what kind of style you were looking for.
