Hey everyone... anyone, it has been an eternity since I last posted an update concerning my game. Presently I am working out the kinks on my semi-complete systems before I try to dive head long into my new and more daring projects. At the present my game named Imersia, an online RPG based on a fantasy world of swords and magic is well under way. I have always wanted to make a game that caters to the more complex tastes, and through this project I am seeing my hope come to fruition. The beauty of the crafting systems is in their complexity. There are presently 15 types of metals that a user can utilize, each metal is more powerful than its predecessor and depending on the inherent skill of the crafter, he or she can create objects with up to 7 different qualities, ranging from an inexperienced abysmal to the skillful godly qualities. I plan on using the core structuring behind this crafting system to create my other crafting skills, once the groundwork is laid and the brunt of the creative ideas are implemented in code form, it comes down to how long I can spend doing the menial tasks.

Presently I have completed the groundwork for;

Mining
Smithing
Fishing
Combat
Quests
Communication
NPC's
Monster AI
Guard AI
Criminal System (Handles murders and npc attacks)

In progress is;

Healing
Targetting (for Magic / Archery)
Housing
Guilds
Cooking

In Planning;

Alchemy
Taming
Herbalism
Magic
Archery
Fletching
Carpentry
Tailoring
Farming (will work with cooking tailoring and animals)

Although there will be a gap in between now and completion I feel that the game will be a pleasure for anyone interested in solid deep gameplay. Some games are easy to master, and the pinnacle can be reached in a very short time. In Imersia however, gameplay is fun throughout the journey to the top and the time it takes to reach the highest skill point in smithing is sufficient enough to sustain months of play, aside from that would be the economic standpoint as well. Merchanting lower quality or lower alloy items will fluxuate with the skill level of the servers crafters. All in good time I hope to see a community form around the new game and possibly give me the boost I need to take care of the job at hand.
That sounds like a good RPG, keep it up and maybe host it for (alpha..beta..polished?) so people can try it out, if you don't let people try it out it normaly puts down your motovation :(
I know exactly what you mean. I have the ability to host the game, however when I do host I find myself spending time on menial in game tasks to take care of the people, I really need someone to take care of the PR for the game so that I can just spend my time on the behind the scenes portion. If anyone is interested in hosting I just need to know the hardware specs and your internet connection to make sure it can handle the load. Presently the game is in modest alpha, as soon as I can get a majority of the systems online I can begin work on fleshing out the game adding content and adding playability.
