Quest for a new computer!

ehh. My birthday's coming up, and I've decided I want a new computer, as my current one is over seven years old. So my question to you is which computer should I get? Something >$1000, useful for gaming. Direct links to the products are appreciated. Post a comment! :o

If you don't have the technical know-how to build your own computer, you could go to Dell (ew), Alienware (overpriced), or Sli Zone

I wish ATI did something similar with CrossFire. :(

Oof. A lot of those Sli Zone PCs are over the specified $1000.
