I ordered one of these from eBay. (Link below is for a decal only, but the eBay deal included the decal pre-affixed to a faceplate -- all I had to do was pop it into place.) Pretty classy!

Oh, I've got a bunch of 'em. I've had the 360 a while -- just the faceplate is new.
Upcoming games I plan to get: Overlord (maybe); Bioshock; Two Worlds; Mass Effect; GTA IV. If they ever release a "Game of the Year" edition of Oblivion with the bugs fixed, I might buy that. |
I'm quite looking forward to Bioshock on PC, though I'm a bit confused as to what you actually do in it, what I've read doesn't really reveal much.
Two Worlds is also meant to be very good, if it's anything like the other games Zuxxez have done then it'll be great. |
Shadowrun is a huge waste of cash if you don't have Xbox Live. One suggestion, I would buy The Darkness when it comes out. I've had it on reserve for a while now, it's looking pretty good to me so far.

No Shadowrun? D: Pop quiz! You're a game developer. You acquire the license to a classic pen-and-paper RPG. It has countless volumes of detailed setting information and adventure modules full of colorful characters and dramatic events. What kind of game do you make? Careful -- it's a trick question! The correct answer is "a first-person shooter with nine enclosed maps and no single-player campaign." Surprise! So, in short, no Shadowrun for me. :) Hazman: The Bioshock "Cult of Rapture" web site has a lively forum and plenty of background information, including interviews with the developers. It's worth a look -- though "wait and be surprised" would be an equally good plan! |
It has awesome online, though! :(
Just don't think of it as an actual Shadowrun game! The SNES/Genesis Shadowrun was good though. |
Yeah, I feel the same way as Guy with regards to Shadowrun. I thought, "THEY'RE MAKING A SHADOWRUN GAME?! I HAVE TO BUY AN XBOX 360!!!!!!11" and then checked out the website... and I closed my browser after a few minutes with a great big frown on my face.

Wow, that's the sort of XBOX 360 that Hugh Hefner would play.
I'm a little cautious of BioShock. As great as it sounds they are really pushing the FPSer side of the game. It feels as if they're trying to change directions with it. As for Oblivion it's 'pretty stable' after you download the (free) updates. I get a disc read error about once or twice a week, that's about it. The only bug I've encountered was actually just me following someone when I was meant to wait for them to go fetch the Count and return. The paid content is a real pain. I'm not saying they should pump that stuff out for free, but giving users the ability to make their own content (even if they had to pay for the programs) would have been so much better. Still, on any platform it's worth picking up. |

Aw, your original post (which appeared in my inbox when you posted it) was so much funnier, Crispy.

Is there any particular reason for this? Is it only the internet, or LAN in general? There may be a way to take the update off my HDD and transfer it to his (via LAN or maybe a USB memory device). I really do wish they had of created the system so updates could be acquired without an internet connection. I'd gladly take the time to go down to the store and buy an update for a few dollars instead of having to download it. My bandwidth is too precious to waste on patches. |
Apparently he doesn't want to "hook up the bespeakment of technical gear-crap needed to connect the 360 to the Intarweb". (Quoted from here.)

Fair enough. Setting up a permanent home for a console without wireless can be a real pain in the butt (unless you're like me and the optimal placement of your router happened to be right on top of your entertainment unit).
If only the XBOX 360 wouldn't explode during transport, he could probably find an internet cafe willing to let him come in and download the updates. A lot of trouble, but if you only had to do it when you brought a new game it wouldn't be terrible. |
If you're willing to dish out like $100 you could buy the wireless adapter.
But that's a lot. Especially for connecting to The Tubes. |
What games are you gonna get?
