I normally check the Bwicki at least once a day to see if there's any vandalism. If so, I try to revert it, though that can be a major pain in the ass because, for some reason, Deadron decided to program it so only certain people can revert any given page on the Bwicki (the page's creator can revert that page as well, though). So, if there's a completely deletion or rewrite of a page, and it must be completely reverted, I have to try and get in contact with someone who can revert it, because it was poorly designed.

Well, today the front page was vandalized by someone looking for help (complete rewrite in all capital letters, asking for help, followed by an email). So, as normal, I check my pager for anyone online who can revert it. I find someone who can revert it, but I sent a message to them to be sure:

-->(6:16 pm) [key]: Are you able to revert the Bwicki?

I expect a reply, so I wait. I needed to go back to check something else with the pager and, lo and behold, he's logged off without even bothering for a reply. Normally I'd think that he just had to get off for some reason, except that he's done this same thing before, at least twice (and one other of those times was about reverting the Bwicki as well).

Regardless, I did manage to revert the Bwicki. It was the front page and, therefore, cached on Google. I stripped out that HTML and put it back. But, to this staff members, thanks for all your help. The lack of a reply was especially a nice touch. You can go to hell.
Dude it's the freaking Bwicki! No one even looks at that thing =/

Deep breaths.
I'm fairly sure it's the staff consensus that the bwicki is outdated and old. Occasional reverts are made, but the thing is really dead.
That doesn't change the fact that just logging off instead of at least replying with "No." is just being a cunt.

He might not have seen it if he was logging off. Or maybe he was busy.
As I said, I'd think that if it weren't for the fact that this happened twice before.

I think that assuming he was being malicious is a little overboard.
WW's right, you need to take a chill pill, man.
I'm not saying he's being malicious. Just deciding to ignore it. I wouldn't put it past him, knowing how he is.

I think I know who you're talking about. I'd be kinda pissed too. They should add you to the list of people who can edit any given page. You seem noble enough.
Take a Chizzle Pizzle >_>
I miss quite a few pages when I'm using Windows XP because I keep the pager minimized and Windows hides it. I turn the PC off without even noticing that the pager is still running.
But it still blinks and flashes red when you're paged (which, I think, is a new instance of the icon, so it should show up on the bar) as well as making the annoying noise, though you may turn that off.

He wasn't necessarily logged on. The pager can close without sending the proper messages to the hub, so you can appear logged in for quote some time after really being gone.
I never notice any pages until I actually use the pager. =\
My work computer is often left unattended and the volume is never up. I don't really use my pager but with MSN I often read a message, start typing a reply then get distracted and forget to send it.
Yeah, the person could have been ignoring you, but you said that it has only happened twice so it's a bit early to jump to that conclusion.
*points* The support form is designed for problems just like this.

Let him vent. It's fun to read. >_>
Same here. Additionally, I am often too busy to deal with anything BYOND related when I am *at work*. Of course, I also usually put up the BUSY flag....
