Many of my friends know that I was constantly working on Extonia Life of a Pirate. Well, since I found out the new features of 4.0, it changed how I have to do the game, and I can no longer edit it in 3.5. Since I can't edit it in 3.5, the client eye bug in 4.0 screws me over. I will continue with Extonia after my new idea, and when 4.0 returns.
I have the basic concept of my game down. I also got some coding done, I am going to do a private test this weekend. If you have any ideas post them in comments, or if you want to test it. The game is a shooter game. But it is based on missions. When the host starts the game he picks which campaign he wants to do. Once he does that everyone creates their characters, edits their stats, and picks what they want their character to start off with. In the missions, there are normally two sides. Each side consists of 2-10 players, and NPC's. Each campaign will be a lot different, and you can unlock special missions such as side scrollers, RPGs, space fighters, and more.
When you begin a mission, you can use your money to buy the equipment you want. The equipment you buy during missions is weaker than real equipment, and you lose it when you die. If you want the real equipment you buy it during missions for a larger price, but it is worth it. You can buy spells like teleport, glide(jump and stay in air for a long period of time), dodge, and more.
Once you beat a campaign you can play any of the missions within the campaign you did, including the bonus missions. During the game, you gain experience which can be used to make you stronger. When you gain a rank(level) you can buy better outfits which let you command NPC's. I think it will go Private, Corporal, Sergent, Lieutenant, and Captain.
When you command NPC's, you can tell them where to go, cover you, search for enemies, etc. But when you are an Infil(The evil enemies), you can take over other players. If you infect a NPC, you control him like a Sergent commands an NPC. If you take over a player, you tell him what to do.
Since the Infils can take over you, I decided to add things such as revive, or cure. When you die, you are dead for good. If someone revives you, you are back in the game. The cures can cure an Infil player/Npc to join you. To make sure people can't constantly revive a player, I will add so you can use a death potion on a body so they cannot be revived.
--An idea I had is that each bodypart has an icon, and if you click the bodypart instead of clicking the map to shoot, it does more damage, headshots will take alot of damage, hand can disarm you sometimes, or give you a delay. Legs/Feet make you slow down. They all do damage, but have different things that happen. If I get 4.0 (Real) I will add the shoot that lets you pick where on the icon it does the damage.

the game needs a name. I thought of a couple. The storyline(to help you think of a name) is that one of the clans known as The Hunters found a planet, they established a base, and called the planet XI. When they were exploring this planet, they found a large artifact, they activated it and it made a large dark mist go around the planet. The planet generated a dark virus to the people that were living there, made them all black, and made them go insane. It also made a large gravity force begin to go around the galaxy, and when the gravity force began to destroy many planets. The inhabitants on XI are now known as Infil, a dark species that is beginning to spread. You need to stop this, before the galaxy is destroyed.

Those are all great ideas.
The Variety of guns I am adding, so you can be skilled in certain types. I may make it so their are bow types/ Guns / throwing types. Also, each with different speeds/damage. 2. I am adding once I got it good like I said 3. The mission idea is good, so you can use your character to do non-campaign missions, and maybe explore certain areas when it is not a mission to find secrets/gain experience 4. Good idea so you go slow with a rocketlauncher, and you need certain strength to hold one too. 5. I am adding it so you need different ranks for different clothing/shields(not holding shields) 6. I could make it so you can buy health kits, and find them on the map. Also, or use healing spells. Ammo crates maybe since you can buy ammo before you fight. 7. Awesome idea ! |
2.Vital Strike points for hiting someone.
3.Missions or take out jobs to earn you more stats(Depending on the type of game you are doing)
4.User stats on strength, Speed, Accuracy with a gun, Etc(For like if you choose to make guns heavier.
5.Protective Clothing for harder to kill scenario.
6.Health kits and ammo crates.
7.Mounted guns that are on a discharge setting to discharge a wide span of bullets wherever you aim
