We have an amazing video in favor of what you hate.
P.S.: I'm one of those "vile" and "dispicable" heathens, by the way.
P.P.S.: Also, please read the side-bar for that at the bottom. It has a few correction to errors he made in his video.

Why was the title changed? At least you could've removed the trailing space.
|
Fizz, that is the greatest thing I have ever seen on youtube, many thanks to you sir!
|
Yea. It was "To all you "vile" and "dispicable" heathens who shall burn in hell (atheists and agnostics)" in an attmept to be ironic, but they fucked it up. =/

The "Pale Blue Dot" video it was linked from was pretty good, but not exactly related. I'm sure a few other of it's video comments are good, but I haven't looked at them yet.

From the comments page:
Bink007 (9 months ago) When you beleive in something, You Stand for IT! Err, when you REALLY believe in something, you don't feel like you have something to prove to others, period! You just let the others bathe in their ignorance! When it comes to beliefs, this "burden of proof" thing just makes me sick. Seems like letting people believe in whatever they want is too much to ask from right-wingers! Other than that, I love this vid! |
It's probably better to reply to him on the Youtube video than it is to reply on my comments, by the way. =P
|
Bah, I was just venting! :)
Moreover, do I REALLY want to get into a never-ending debate over something that cannot be conclusively proven from either side? Nah, I'll wait until I die... which is far from tomorrow! (I hope... >_>) |
I don't believe in God...not completely sure about Heaven either.. I just have no proof of existence. I'm one of those "you gotta see it to believe it" people.
:P |
If you can't prove it, the correct position is atheism. Burden of proof and all that.

I love how they used that psalm so much but they understand so little.
"Psalm 14:1 The Hebrew words rendered fool in Psalms denote one who is morally deficient." Not someone who is stupid. "The term is a synonym for sinner, and it describes everyone who has no place for God in his or her life. The fool's problem is that his heart refuses the knowledge of God. To be sure, he is not an intellectual atheist, denying the existence of God, but a practical atheist, living as if there were no God (Pss. 53:1; 74:18,22; Isa. 32:6). [Holman Old Testament Commentary: Psalms 1-75, p. 75] They're talking about bad people not living righteously, not atheists. |
This video's great, if you're an atheist....if not, than it puts you in the perspective of "so what"? I'm sure any religion could throw together a bunch of famous scientists and actors*, along with a couple statistics, and make themselves seem better than everyone else.
Here's this little motivational poster for for all the Atheists around here also: http://www.myconfinedspace.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/ atheists.jpg |

Beliefs are something that should stay personal and be respected. However, I wholeheartedly adhere to the notion of "agreeing to disagree". |

While I do understand where you come from with the "so what?" bit, my guess is that the video was made to prove that those lines of the bible are completely wrong, regardless of the context. The way I see it, It all comes down to "Hey, you can believe in all you want, but you don't wanna get into a senseless debate with us.", as far as atheists go. And for the record, I consider myself an agnostic rather than an atheist. I'll know when I'll die, and I fully assume whatever will come my way then. |

http://www.myconfinedspace.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/ atheists.jpg I call bull on that. Atheists can be threatened with physical harm just because they admit they're atheist when in close-knit Christian communities. You don't see atheists doing the same to Christians unless the Christians try to proselytise. |
And as for the motivator (which I didn't pay attention to the first time around), all I can say is that anything coming out of 4chan cannot be seriously considered as evidence, nor even remotely truthful.
