...up until recently I felt like I was losing my mind with no access to any computers. First we bought a few adapters but they turned out to only be good for small appliances like hair dryers or electric shavers and the like.
(The first one almost blew up when I tried putting in a surge protector. I didn't try that again)
So all I had was my gameboy and a pinball game to go with it for most of the time. It got old after...half an hour. Then a couple of days ago my mother came back with a couple of things called Transformers (Saviors in disguise!) that would allow me to plug in bigger things like computers and videogame systems. My biggest worry about my systems was that I wouldn't be able to use them for as long as I would be in Ireland, and considering this was a permanent move...well, I'm glad that's no longer a problem.
The weather here is...cloudy. And rainy. And cloudy, and rainy some more. Ironic that the reason we moved here was for the weather. My youngest sister has Lupus, so the weather here is perfect for her. Not only that, but there's a Lupus foundation close by and her doctor, coincidentally, had to move close by in Ireland as well so my mom was thrilled.
I'm typing this up at an internet cafe (my computer is still in a box somewhere in the country) but I have my mom's laptop to occupy me. While I can't get online there, I still left Byond installed on it so I took a shot at trying to make a game.
That lasted all of 2 minutes.
But I've still got a bunch of CDs burned with backup stuff from my computer, and seasons 1-3 of Family Guy and season 3 of Monk to occupy me (stupid regional codes won't let them play on actual DVD players).
Anyway, I've done enough typing for now. I better zip around to everywhere else I frequent online while I still have time in the cafe. Poof!
