Tibby had pointed this out to me the other day;
http://games.byond.com/hub/Superbike32/IconUltima
Since IU was officially published into BYOND.Chat, doesn't that mean I get some sort of exclusive right to the project name "Icon Ultima" (or obvious variants thereof (http://games.byond.com/hub/Stanfy1/UltimatiaIcona))?
I'm always on the lookout >.>
Holy crap that is not cool...Stanfy said you even taught him to code o.o
Teaching someone to code doesn't instantally mean they can go out and make games bassed off the guy who taught you.

Why do people seem to think that giving a coder 'GM' in the game they copied will excuse the fact they copied it.
It doesn't work that way, considering, Why would the owner of a game want a moderator status in a copy of their game.

Besides, Mobius taught me a fair deal, do I go and mimic his work? Nope, I'd rather continue to work along side him then against him regardless.
Rofl. Tibby needs to watch for these things more often. XD
Why can't you just hire an angel of judgement style hacker to get rid of any IU clones you find?

:)
because, we believe, that, not spending money on trivial things, is better then spending money on trivial things >.>
wheres my 12 guage shotgun i'm gonna go DBZ and Rips Hunting!
Im Arthosa Best Friend and hes much cooler then you
o rly
Run along and go buy "GM" on his games. We have important things to deal with/

No, I don't think so.
Why not? Mystic Journey and Sekia appear to have such a right.
There's various threads on this topic if you'd take the time to do a forum search for this time of thing.

If you wanna report anything to the staff, try:
http://www.byond.com/support/support.cgi

Or you could go with Shadowdarke's suggestion of sueing.
It's about time someone did sue a moron ripper/hub name stealing/blah blah person on BYOND, though. The news would spread like wildfire and everyone would stop through fear.
If you wanna be the first to sue, by all means, go ahead. =)
at 2 am, i'm much to lazy to bother searching for anything I don't really care about <.<

Besides, the orignal topic of this thread was resolved the day it was posted.

As for sueing, I'd love to. But the only problem is, the moment the user got the notice, they would delete the hubentry, request their key deleted and skip the country <.<

Not to mention internation civil lawsuits are such pains in the ass.
request their key deleted

BYOND keys can't, have not, and will never be deleted. =p
well, you know they can. I'm sure Mike H has access to the table, and could manually scroll through the billions of keys in order to find one and delete it.
Maybe, but he wouldn't ever.
The reasons are many.

What if someone wanted their key deleted, and were coded in by a game to be an admin? Later another person remakes the key and goes and wreaks havoc.

People could masquerade. I could pretend I was Zilal by remaking her key.

There's just too many problems. Keys are permanent.
Keys can be deleted with BYOND 3.5...
That only removes it from your Login key list. The key itself, still remains.
