Turns out the best solution to a problem of three idiotic kids, who gather genes from a guy who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground, isn't to try and deal with them. Rather to deal with yourself.
I found the solution wasn't in them, it was myself. Why bother trying with them? They're lost causes, however myself I can attempt to do something with. Instead of locking them in their rooms, or taking what they love from them, I just locked myself in a room instead. They bang, and my music bangs.
My depression is still ravaging on, and the house is completely destroyed, however it's not my job to clean it, nor are they my kids. Score one for Paul, nothing for the 3 devils.
Other than that, I really have nothing for you. I'll see what I can do about more screenshots for BYOND RPG, and soon I'm going to remake the Roleplayers CSS. Hang tight.

Kids that age are, nowadays, usually desperate for a person they can look up to. They can sense whether or not you give a crap about them, and if you do, they will behave better (which is not to say perfectly, just better). Play games with them (dominoes, poker, whatever is at hand) and reason with them -- if you tell them to do something or not to do something, be prepared to back it up with a reason, because kids love to ask "Why?" "I don't know" is a fair answer, but you should aim to have a better answer four times out of five.
You are in the position of a stand-up comedian: the audience wants to like you, but will you make the effort to meet them where they are? If they trust that you are genuinely fond of them, they will be a lot more likely to heed your instruction, but one can't fake fondness any more than one can fake competence. | |
I've already tried that. That's what I tried when I first started staying here. It didn't work either. I've never gotten a "Why?" answer though. The usual responses are just plain "No" "Shush" "Shut it" or "I don't have to" The more uncommon ones being "Are you the boss of me?" and "Is it yours?"
The problem is that the oldests father didn't care about him, and the mother jumped to the 2 youngests father during the break up. She then stayed with that idiot for a good 4 or 5 years. Which he beat her, and spent the entire time telling the kids to do whatever their mother says not to do, literally. | |
