I'm working on a game themed around the first, second, and possibly third Punic Wars. The gameplay would be similar to that of Dynasty Warriors or Samurai Warriors, however I plan to make "peons" a bit more challenging
(so it's not like one or two hits knocks out an entire crowd... picture like.. Ninja Gaiden or Assassin's Creed but a little more intense)

Basically, each major faction has a story mode, so far the factions are only Carthage and Rome, but I'm considering Syracuse as an extension.

I wanted to know what characters (playable or non-playable) should be added. If you add any characters they cannot be fictional like the ones I've listed.

If they're a playable character recommend a weapon they should fight with, doesn't have to be orthodox but it has to at least feel contemporary (for instance I recommending some rapid shooting crossbow for Archimedes would be fine, recommending a five barrel shotgun wouldn't, as guns like that did not exist then).

If they're non-playable recommend one of the following:
One-handed sword
Sword/Shield
Spear
Club
Halberd

Also, you can suggest a costume and appearance for the character you submit.

The following is a list of characters that are currently on the roster of characters:

First row(left to right)
Carthaginian Characters:
  • Hannibal (descendant of Gisco)
  • Hanno, son of Hannibal
  • Hasdrubal, son of Hanno
  • Barca Hamilcar
  • Barca Hannibal

Roman Characters:
  • Regulus Atilius Marcus
  • Appius Claudius Caudex
  • Publius Cornelius Scipio
  • Tiberius Sempronius Longus
  • Calvus Cornelius Scipio

Second row (these are currently unplayable characters that will have clone movesets)
Carthaginian Officers:
  • Ahinadab(fictional; may be come playable via an extension)
  • Barca Mago (may become playable via an extension)
  • Abdeshmun(fictional)
  • Paltibal(fictional)

To be added:
  • Hiero II of Syracuse
  • Archimedes (hell yeah, math)
  • Claudius Marcellus Marcus

ALSO feel free to add somewhat contemporary easter egg characters, for instance I might add Atila the Hun, Judas Maccabeus, etc...
