What's that? Jp plays Pokemon?
Yeah, I'm a geek. Regardless, I came up with an amusing idea for a team, recently. Just bear with me, it's not actual Skarmbliss. But there's certainly a lot of bliss. And a lot more Skarmory.
Skarmory@Leftovers
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 HP, 4 Special Defence
Whirlwind
Spikes
Drill Peck
Roost
Bog-standard Skarmory, with a minor Diamond/Pearl twist. Next!
Skarmory@Brightpowder
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 Special Defence, 252 HP, 4 Speed
Double Team
Substitute
Roost
Drill Peck
The best I could do to beat Special sweepers. I'm not sure if Double Team applies to Substitute, but even if it doesn't, it should help outlast them. You can't attack, but you don't need to much. Why? Well...
Skarmory@Leftovers
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 HP, 4 Defence
Toxic
Protect
Curse
Roost
Another physical wall. Buff up and spread around the poison-love. No attacking moves means it's slightly dangerous, but it's worth it for the extra nuisance of Curse/Roost/Protect/Curse/Roost/Protect
Skarmory@Leftovers
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 HP, 4 Defence
Spikes
Stealth Rock
Whirlwind
Aerial Ace
Spikes AND Stealth Rock? What's not to like? Pity Skarm can't learn Toxic Spikes.
Skarmory@Leftovers
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 Attack, 4 HP
Drill Peck
Swords Dance
Roost
Steel Wing
A physical-sweeper-Skarm. Useful for when they're out of fire/electric/ice moves.
Skarmory@Leftovers
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Defence, 4 Special Defence
Sand Attack
Double Team
Protect
Drill Peck
Another physical wall, also another dealer-with-special-sweepers.
Basically, the entire team is designed to stall the other team out while they die of poison. And if they switch, they take a fair quantity of damage. Skarm can out-stall most stallers. Especially with things like the Sub/Double Team/Roost Skarm or the Sand Attack/Double Team/Protect Skarm.
Alternatively, see it as a way of annoying your opponent so much they leave before they finish you off. ;)
Also, note that the rules you're working under have to not ban multiples of a pokemon and multiple items.

For the first set, why bother with Roar? Whirlwind is now a breeding move so you don't have to worry about getting screwed by Soundproof pokes.
|
You can't get Roar and Drill Peck on the same Skarm. You have to breed for them both, from different pokemon.
|
Skarmory can learn Drill Peck and Whirlwind from Fearow in DP.
Fearow learns Whirlwind via breeding in DP, Drill Peck by level and both are Skarm egg moves in DP. My bad, I was totally ambiguous in the first comment. :) |
I am not sure if roar/whirlwind works on WiFi, I heard they don't. I dunno, never used them. But, a Starmie could really destroy this team if it is EV trained with Speacial Attack and Speed.
Starmie@Leftovers/Quick Claw Natural Cure EVs: 252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP Thunderbolt Surf Rapid Spin/Ice Beam Recover/Psychic/Protect Same with Milotic Milotic@Leftovers Marvel Scale EVs: 252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP Aqua Ring/Recover Ice Beam Surf Confuse Ray/Hypnosis/Haze |
There's no reason they wouldn't. That'd just be stupid.
Regardless, I'm aware the team is full of holes. It's thematic - that means holes. There's no way you can create a Skarmory that will effectively beat a special sweeper. |

I wasn't insulted, just pointing out that it is a joke team. Because I like Skarmory. :P |
How to beat Jp's team
zapdos zapdos zapdos zapdos zapdos and maybe a raikou or electivire or magmortar (rawr :O) :P |
