After switching hosts and getting sent the obligatory "please don't go" messages, my old host mentioned it was upgrading and transferred my existing, still-non-cancelled account (which is still paid until September) over to a new server, and I have to say I'm rather impressed.

I switched hosts to Canaca because speed and reliability on the back end were a huge concern for me. Canaca has always been speedy and reliable on the back end, but I liked the features offered by VistaPages better (IMAP, 100 MySQL databases instead of 5, cheaper monthly rate) -- reliability is of course more important than features, so I switched, and the existence of the phishing thing made me seriously sceptical of the security on VP. However, now that the VistaPages has transferred my old account to a new server and I can see that my VistaPages account is indeed running along speedily and I can only presume securely, I'm wondering if I should cancel my account with Canaca (I'm still in the full-refund period) and migrate my domain back to VistaPages with no hard feelings.

What do you think?
I'd say to take the refund and stay with VistaPages for a while longer. See if, in the long run, the improvement is to your liking. After all, you said it was still paid through September so what do you have to lose?
Falcon... PUUUUNCH!

Coo.
Ganon got me teen pregnant!
On the one hand, I believe that consumers' unwillingness to take a stand and actually change their buying habits based on stuff like this is the biggest cause of poor service... but on the other hand, you actually did prove you were willing to vote with your wallet and they appear to have responded. I'd say give them a shot.
