New Laptop(Notebook)

Just got a new laptop. And I got it for 1 thousand dollars =). Its got really big space and stuff, one thing i dont like about it is, its windows vista.

just might wana tell everyone :)

Here's a link to free, high-quality, easy to install, etc Linux software: www.ubuntu.com

It can do more or less everything that Windows can. Works really well on laptops, too.

But before you ever try to install Linux, be sure you know all the names of your hardware devises such as chipset, graphics card, sound chipset etcetera and search for it on the internet for linux drivers.
IF you canb't find any Linux drivers for your laptop then you're stick to Vista.

Ubuntu automaticly now downloads most drivers for you. :)
(or already has them included most of the time!)

Yet linux (without WINE) isn't as great as its made up to be. Just stick with Vista for a while, or maybe go back to Windows XP. For most PC users, linux isn't practical.
