I, and several other people, are getting tired of this shit.

 Greetings. Forward, but your BYOND account will be deleted. 
BYOND became very slow, the reason is that too many non-active members. 
We are sending this message this year to see if members are active or not. 
Please send this message to 15 other users, using Copy and Paste functions to show that you are active. 
Who does not send this message within six months, will be deleted to make room faor active members. 
Do not refer to those who we send to you, we know they are


I've added quite a few people to my ban list for sending this out, and I know it's bullshit since deleting accounts causes backend problems on BYOND, and a simple "Last Login" check is more than enough to figure out who is and isn't active.

Can the admins step in and put a stop to this damned rumor (and maybe dish out bans for propagating it) with an announcement and once again, maybe dole out some bans due to people clearly being under the legal minimum age of 13 based on their IQ alone?

The BYOND administration is aware of the issue, but that is about all I can tell you. We'll all have to wait till they decide what is the best action in such a situation.
On a funny note, I never got such a message (and before you say anything, I got about 400ish people on my friends list ;)).

I have a few friends on my list, got the message once, and cussed the one who sent me it out (even though he was a friend). Never got it again. And if people read this and decide to send me it, be expecting pager bans. <_<
