My friend have the problem. He has never played in BYOND. And now he tried to start. But after installing and booting BYOND, he can't log in or do anything. He has the endless loading that shows the progress bar with 100% of loading.
How can we fix that?
Can you offer more information? Screenshots?
Since Unicode support was added, OneDrive is pretty much the only reason anymore that this happens. I'd be absolutely shocked if it isn't grabbing the folder inappropriately and that's the source of the problem. |
Lummox, I am on windows 10 and I had violently uninstalled onedrive on the day I got the laptop. There is exactly one instance of the word "onedrive" on the laptop, and it is an empty leftover folder.
I don't think onedrive is the issue anymore; since I'm having the exact same 1:1 issue his friend is having. |
A way to move the data folder is:
1) Open up the registry editor by typing "regedit" at the start menu.
2) Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Dantom\BYOND.
3) Edit the userpath value to something else like C:\BYOND instead.
4) Create the directory you just pointed to.
Be sure first to shut any BYOND programs down via the task manager.
