Everytime I start up my byond it freezes with the "not responding" message every few seconds over and over. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling byond, and deleted all traces of byond dozens of times with no progress. Im using vista on a laptop. Does anyone know how to fix the problem?

You haven't provided enough information/ignored the forum template and as a result of this, we are unable to help you. In order to be of any real assistance, we need to know as much detailed information about your computer as possible.
Please consult All about the BYOND Help Forum if you are unsure on how to fill out any of the template fields.

Once you are sure you have enough information, please reply to this post with all the information you can. From there, we'll see if we'll be able to help you solve your problem.

Please make sure to additionally include the answer to these questions:
Did BYOND run before without problems?
If so, did you change something?
Do other programs show similar behaviour?
Could you include the CPU and ram usage as shown in the Task Manager?

This might be because of the cache being corrupt.

You can delete you Cache by going to; Documents, BYOND and then delete the Cache folder and then try again to open BYOND.
