When you face a car and press E, it automatically tries burning corpses underneath it before getting in the car. I honestly think the car is a higher priority, and I've died three or four times spamming E to no avail.
It's an easy thing to fix really, so can we get an update, please? Just a little one? I'll give you a buttercup =[
