I've been annoyed by this for a long while now, and it's still annoying me...
All those rips...
I'm just searching for a nice game to play, and i gotta scroll down 2 pages till i see some non-ripped games...
Now i want this to STOP!!
Let's look at the facts...
Right now it's 0:01 am GMT + 1 (europe),
thats 11:01 pm GMT (england),
and around 5:01pm MT (american time.. sort of..).
Well, probably the time that there are a lot of players online..
English and europeans are bored, wanna do something before they go to sleep - as am i, so that's why i'm doing this - Americans are just out of school/work/nothing sitting behind their PC playing some BYOND aswell!
So, lots of players, lets see how many rips there are, and how many players playing them!
(Only looking at unpublished games)
Ripped Games: 30/56 games currently online.

Damn lot of rips, over half of the Unpublished games hub!
Now i'm interested... lets see.. out of those 30, how many are..
DBZ (zeta, genesis, etc.) Rips: 22/30
Holey Moley!
That means only 8 rips are from other games then DBZ!
This is sorta.. totally insane...
And then to see that some of these DBZ rips are actually well visited...
I mean... about 242/440 players in unpublished games are playing rips.
That's more than half of the players there!
Mostly remarkable high visited games are:
ClanDBGT2 by SSJ2GohanDBGT [1 game, 34 players]
Oh common!
It's a total rip!
It's all damn Zeta, they just added some stuff...
And the worst part is, people voted for this rip... it's #24 in the BYOND ranking!
And then we got
Dragonball: Elysium by Hant Teath [3 games, 55 players]
#25 in BYOND ranking!
What's wrong with people these days?
This is totally insane, it's a complete rip, and in this game.. i can't even see much new things...
It's almost same as zeta!
Then we still got some icon chatterz games which i dunno which one is the original, i just counted 2/3 i saw as rip..
They got like 20 ppl as well...
My conclusion:
More then half of the unpublished games hub is full of rips...
I can't believe people are playing it.
Whenever i see a game is ripped, i leave right away, or i check if they even got a antispam/antihtml system first...
I think BYOND should do something against these rips... make 'em illegal?
If BYOND doesn't.. i will!
Games should be original, non-ripped, and awesome!
Creating games is an art, don't steal from someone else and show off with it!
We don't see a Anti-grav gun from HL2 in Halo either!
And that's what makes Halo cool... sort of...

Becuz i'm getting so annoyed by them, that i wanna show others, with facts, how bad it actually is!
There should be done something against this. Back to the painting: Someone steals a copy of a painting, draws a mustache on it, and then places it in the museum. His painting, suddenly is way more popular then the original painting, where the original artist put soo much time in. It's just not fair, but that's what happening. | |

I'll agree with you that it's a rip, over half the icons in use on there aren't originally mine. On the other hand, I entirely disagree with you that I just "added some stuff in". That's chimerical. If you can honestly point out anything, outside of the icons, that relates to work of other than mine where I don't give credit -- I'll agree with you. Otherwise any nimwit who has seen what you are referring to could tell you it's not even possible to do what I have with it. Feel free to openly flame me, which has already been done. Well who cares if theres rips,rips are the reason alot of people even play on byond. those original games might be original but super boring,for example the Naruto GOA never gets freakin updated anymore. a waste of space,while rips have been made with many more jutsus in way less time than the actual GOA has been created.if u arent playing it dont worry,if rips go alot of players will. thus creating a waste of funds hosting byond.
