I still don't get how Paintball is an RPG, but kudos for hosting a great event.

paintball as an RPG? might as well assimilate the entire Action/Shooter guild if that's the case. :P

That doesn't make it an RPG. I've seen a Quake II mod with an experience system, levels, and ability learning, but it still wasn't an RPG because there was 0 potential role-playing. And yes, it also had saved characters.

* An immersive game world, which the user should become acquainted with throughout the game.

* A character-driven conflict that is to be overcome through the game, which may or may not interfere (by any means) with other players, but it must at least involve non-player characters.

By your reasoning, most sports games are RPGs, as are many action games. I'm a big fan of keeping the guild true-to-form. If people are looking for an RPG in the official RPG guild, I can almost guarantee they aren't looking for a shooter game. Honestly, your game is best-suited for the shooter guild.

=P You make a good point, and we are already in the action guild. However I have no control over what games are in this guild. Paintball was a suitable choice for the contest because at the last minute we were down a game, and it was in the guild.

Well I finished before Darke and Yota too. I don't know anything about your progress in it (didn't see you in any of the games), so I'll shut up and not make any assumptions about how well you did in relation to me. :P
