Would you consider it abusing powers if a Admin, bans you for NOT breaking the rules. Considering NOT Breaking the rules is a good thing and breaking the rules is a BAD thing.
Well yesterday I got re-banned by *cough*AZA*cough*Abuser*cough* Someone Whos name I can't reveal for purposes unknown to man. After I didn't do anything. This person *cough*AZA*cough*Abuser*cough* just hates me for who I am!
Considering the reason I got banned in the first place, was for not breaking rules. The person *cough*AZA*cough*abuser*cough* banned me for "Multikeying to avoid Punishment." Even when Both my keys Were already Muted. And I was switching Cause I needed to get something From my other Key.
So remember, When playing a game with a person that abuses, *cough*AZA*cough*Abuser*cough* Don't play it.
And If you don't know who I am talking about, Cough.
Btw you know when You like say a word too much and dont recognise it and think WTF did they make it like that, I know longer recognise Cough!

Yeah, but he probably didn't abuse. I've banned you before. It's very tempting!

Sounds reasonable to me.
Consider this: You have two keys logged in. Maybe he didn't know your second key was already muted (If you're not a troublesome player, what are you doing muted in the first place, hmm?). Thus, it would look like you were reprimand evading. And the price for that is, as commonly in most games, a ban. Secondly, I consider using two keys inside a game to be an unfair advantage. For instance, one key could be used to harvest the game monetary unit, while the other could be used to gain skill, and thus, you're effectively getting the cash and raising the level, removing the harsh middle man of advancing your character in different areas. But I suppose it depends on the game. |
tib in that game you get muted from sayign a swear word the filters a piece of crap and is busted

one more thing WHO IN THERE RIGHT MIND WOULD GIVE BIGBOID POWER? Considering I know him, and he wouldn't dare question my authority, I would. Because I know he would be reliable enough not to abuse a system that watches him like a hawk. Anyone can be forced to be a good moderator. Consider the fact that they want power, so all you have to do is make it 100% clear to them, that in order to keep that power, they have to behave. And you have to drill it into them that their every little action will be exported to a save-file they can't touch. (The glories of owning your own website.) |

Usually... and please note that I put a lot of emphasis on "usually", when someone uses a number of punctuations signs equal to or greater than the actual number of letters in his sentence, he means nothing but trouble.

Uh... two keys muted, sounds like you didn't give him much reason to assume the best about you. When I ran games I had people always complaining about "abuse of power" from my designated Game Staff... and it mostly boiled down to stuff like this, or the "But other people did it and didn't get in trouble."
That's all very incredibly lame, but I've found a way around it: anybody caught breaking the few and simple rules will be removed from the game. No warning (other than the warning to read the rules at the beginning), no muting, whatever... yeah, some people will break the rules and get away with it because you can't police a whole server at once... but that just means being unrelenting on the people who get caught. If somebody gets banned, they've got nobody to blame but themselves. And hooray for the 4.0 Dream Daemon, which will have a smart ban feature to prevent key switching... |
On the game I was playing you can't have two keys logged in at once. At that time when I was playing the Game you could have 2 keys. One person had like 4. Every single staff on there knew I had two keys besides I think that person. One of my keys was a different race than the other one. I was on the same place as the other one. It said I was muted on both keys. Meaning I wasn't even "Multikeying to avoid punishment." That was teh reason I was banned so There is no reason I was banned so that would be abuse.

No, that would not be abuse. Abuse would be -knowingly- banning you for no reason, just for the hell of it. Banning you for an invalid or mistaken reason is called "over-reaction", but honestly, if he over-reacted and you respond by screaming "ABUSE!"... well, I'd ban you, too.
And we're still left with the point that you were muted... on two keys... I honestly wouldn't have looked too close before banning you, either. It's your blog and you rant all you want... I just don't think you're going to get as much sympathy as you hope to. |
