My contention has to do with your post about how I am harassing others in your server, getting people to harass them, swindling them out of money, and intimidating them into staying in GKC. You are either confused, or you are being dishonest. One thing I cannot stand is dishonesty. | |
Honestly dude, I don't have the energy to go over every individual point line by line with a neonazi wannabe cult leader. Ourico, you're one of the most toxic and manipulative people I've ever met online or otherwise. Anyone who's paying attention can see what you are. The only variable is whether or not they agree with your flavor of bigotry.
You guys were doing some genuinely awesome stuff with GKC, but the toxicity, racism, and xenophobia completely negates any good your clubhouse has done. If you guys at all cared about actually doing good for BYOND, you'd keep your bigotry masked. We have consistently encouraged him to work hard and stop his destructive drinking. This is not bullying. Regarding your question about the purpose of the server, it's the same as it always has been: game development, self improvement, and uncensored socializing (with the exception of porn since we don't allow that). Kumorii: I have a strong set of values that have been cultivated over my adult life, and they probably do not align with yours. This garden's going to be as tranquil a place as we can make it within the scope of the people who manage it, to the eventual goal of being a place where people can ask for help and/or show their cool stuff. It's an opportunity for folks to meet and chat without the presumed expectations that other communities seem to have for newcomers and old members. It's a chance for folks to re-meet each other without the classic BYOND standoffishness. I really like that aspect. In your specific case... I'm not thrilled with how it went down, and I'm sorry to see you go (because, if for no other reason, you make dope ass stuff). I can say that I was surprised by your reaction in the channel where your departure announcement occurred, but I could understand where the "Why tf am I being ambushed" sentiment came from. To that end, I'm sorry that the quarantine-and-move-to-one-channel thing came off as an ambush rather than a chance to clarify the positions and feelings about the stuff Ter brought up. Unfortunately, it is a sentiment that is being written from the position of a person who has chosen to ignore the admission of an unabashed white supremacist who twirled his moustache, and touted his position as a mental health professional as a person who recognized that a person he admitted he harassed purposefully to provoke a response was experiencing a mental health crisis. And instead of ceasing, he continued his attempts to provoke, and even admitted that his stated goal was to mine this community for as much enjoyment from other peoples' anger as he could. This thread is important. I think being locked would be fair at this point, as everything that needed to be said and shared in the open has already been made clear, but I am disappointed by the number of people who are posting in defense of legitimate racism and hate speech.
One side is actual unabashed nazis sowing hate speech and harassment. The other side is someone who's been the target of a harassment campaign from said Nazis for daring to condemn their bigoted behaviors. "Both sides" are not the same here. | |

To be honest, I'm not particularly concerned with whatever personal issues are driving this unexpected deviation in your behavior. However, I do wish you luck and hope you receive the support you need. I also hope that this entire outburst helps you to internally process your thoughts and feelings.
It's no secret that we champion free speech in our designated channels. What I find amusing is that in most Discord servers related to BYOND games, you can encounter frequent use of the N-word. It seems to be a non-issue for most people there. Your obsession with me through your hate of Ourico is amusing. Also, I don't engage in veiled threats, Ter. My intention was simply to question the logic of your actions here. You appear to be concerned about Lummox, but I believe this entire issue could potentially harm both him and BYOND as a whole. With an odd choice regarding our messages.
