What I find amusing is that in most Discord servers related to BYOND games, you can encounter frequent use of the N-word.
The second result, I'm not displaying, because the user was explaining what their language's racial slurs were in order to educate our non-speaking moderators were in order to assist with a moderation decision.
The only other use of the n-word that our moderators have not deleted the second we saw it, is one helping someone to write a regex tool to stop people from using the n-word in a BYOND game.
The fact that you will call the term 'nazi' the n-word, but then state your comfort with the widespread use of the hard r racial slur, is a kind gift to me. Thank you.
BYONDiscord: We ban nazis.
You appear to be concerned about Lummox, but I believe this entire issue could potentially harm both him and BYOND as a whole. I sincerely hope you're prepared to accept responsibility for any outcomes that may arise.
Nice threats, dude! "We only wanted to help the platform" indeed!
You seem to be selectively interpreting things. I didn't refer to your BYOND fan server specifically. I was talking about other BYOND servers, particularly those associated with the majority of games on BYOND. It's common to encounter all kinds of slurs and insults there, which is somewhat expected in the context of PvP games. My point stands, and you're free to continue editing your posts and hurling insults if you wish. I consider that to be beneath me.
Regarding the past tense, let me clarify: We have been supporting BYOND, we are currently supporting it, and we will continue to do so through tutorials and fostering a welcoming community.

Smiling, I toss my hair back and give a thumbs-up, my back turned to you as I gaze into the sun.
"I'll be here until the very end of BYOND, Ter, whenever that may be. No matter how much you try to censor and push away those you dislike."
I notice my friend Ourico in the distance, smiling. A grin spreads across my face as I walk away from the defeated Ter the Terrible. Approaching Ourico, our fists meet in a firm bump. We both laugh and start walking off into the sunset
"Bro, those Rhodesian light infantry shorts are awesome."
I pat the ones I'm wearing, "Great minds do think alike." Our voices fade into the distance as we continue our journey, off to meet the rest of our friends.
Funny you should say that! Our server is built different.
The only surviving use of the n-word that our moderators have not deleted the second we saw it, is one helping someone to write a regex tool to stop people from using the n-word in a BYOND game.

You show off your empty ban list like it's a point of pride. I'm proud of our server having a log empty of hate speech. The two things are related.
BYONDiscord: We ban nazis.
We will not be most BYOND discords. We have standards for who we allow to participate, and basic human decency and respect is what it all boils down to. We do not fuck around with hate speech. We do not want to chill with anyone who does. Subscribing to ideologies of hate, particularly misogyny and racism, assures us that you lack the capacity for empathy and respect. Once you have displayed you are part of that, we cannot expose our other members to you. Everything isn't about you. Other people exist, and deserve dignity and respect, and if you can't meet the most basic ground floor of human decency: Accepting that you don't get to deny other people humanity because they look different from you, you do not belong in ANY community.
I only control mine.
