There are times when the new sorting of vars by type is extremely convenient.
And then there are times when it's extremely inconvenient, like when the object tree is huge and you have to check every parent to find the specific one that defined the variable you're looking for.
A checkbox to alter between the old and new mode would be great.
Or, even better, a search field.

I've been using the mouse for most of the operations, the right button for example has the undo option. Your suggestion is very good. I have this habit of playing more actions on the mouse and speeding up its movement.

I just wanted to post that I very much support this feature. I haven't had a chance this week to look into it but I hope it can go in before or when 515 hits the stable channel in the new year.

In this vein, a way to display certain variables at the top of the instance editor would be really great, without having to name them with an underscore at the beginning.
