Spinning up the new computer is still largely on hold as I divert to work and play. I've got the most important stuff in, but a number of apps I know I'll need later are still waiting. It's a process, but basically the most intense part of it is over.

So far this week has been a mix of the old and the new. I've been working on and off on some bug reports that had piled up, and actually I remembered the last release should have fixed a map editor issue that hasn't been verified yet. But a few issues are in limbo, including some reports of an issue experienced in at least one SS13 codebase with a reference that's persisting past where it should. More will come to light in time, but in any case 515 is ticking down toward the stable track.

BYOND 516 surges ahead during the lulls, with the first new feature (besides WebView2) going in this week, which should be a boon to Byondapi users. I'm also moving ahead on a new intrinsic type that ought to have some quality-of-life benefits for big memory- and performance-intensive projects like SS13. In fact really, apart from wanting to get in a big update to movement procs, I'm very much aiming for 516 to add a lot of QOL stuff.

I didn't work on WebView2 this week, but it's basically at a place where it's looking solid and the main thing I need to do is a long project of cleansing old cruft out of the pager. I knew this week would be moving in a different direction though, so I didn't feel a need to jump back on that yet. So no new developments there yet, but there didn't need to be, and that's a good position to be in as we approach Thanksgiving.

The fundometer could use some love, so if you haven't hit up the tip jar in a while, BYOND would welcome your support. For those who have, the Members and the donors, thank you all for making this work possible.

Next week is of course a short week because of the holiday, so I expect any releases will be after that. And that of course means I'll be live-blogging the parade as usual. I have pumpkin muffins ready to go! Don't forget to get that turkey thawing, and I'll see you next week.
Im excited, I already got webview2 install via Wine, and ready to start testing out 516 and seeing how it works. Hopefully, perfectly. :)
