I think he was just stating that people on BYOND complain. They ALWAYS find something to complain about.

"OMG RIPS"
then
"OMG SILKWIZARD"
and now
"OMG HUB"

When BYOND makes another improvement, people will complain. Its madness!

Yeah, Mike himself said that whenever they make a change they always get a lot of backlash from the community. Personally, I like the pager separation, the login page and the new games page.
Eh, the problem with using your pager to find games is you have to add the game itself to the pager. I noticed the game's aren't already displayed there so if you don't remember the names of the games, well you can't play them can you?

Uh, view all, don't have to remember the name of the game you recently found. Just look around if you forgot the name. I'm really not into tedious things.

Oh, on a side note, you can't tell people not to complain. It's a very public way of voicing opinions. By noting is as "complaining", you can either consider that the people are complaining for a reason, or for no reason. A staff who will look into the crowds and differentiate between the two types is a staff you want because at least they will notice you. A staff who will absolutely disregard every form of complaint is not the type you want.

What type BYOND is? I don't know, but it sure LOOKS like they disregard every little thing the community says and responds as "tough, deal with it."
The rants havn't really bothered me, they'l learn in time or move on. Do I need to send you a get well card, Tibby? ;)

As you stated, view all.

You're not into life it seems. Seriously, not everything has to be handed to you on a spoon. You're not a baby any more, you can feed yourself. Finding games is still as easy as it was, if in doubt, the search box is there and it works.

Look up constructive criticism. There is a difference between complaining and suggesting improvements on the system. My rant is not aimed at the people who said: "I don't think this is the best it could be, perhaps if you did -this- or maybe -that- it could improve." But rather the people who said: "OMG BYOND SUCKS NOW BECAUSE IT ISN'T EXACTLY HOW I WANT IT TO BE I'M THE BEST DEVELOPER AND I QUITE YOU ALL SUCK FAGS -insert other insulting references to homosexuality here-"

What type BYOND is? I don't know, but it sure LOOKS like they disregard every little thing the community says and responds as "tough, deal with it."

Having befriended one or two of the staff members over the years, I do know that they are taking into account the aforementioned constructive criticism. I've even made a few suggestions they've started to deliberate over the while. The problem with you is, you want change to happen on the dot. No one can pump out code that fast. Epically in a dynamic environment like this.

No thanks, but money would be nice. Pay me to shut up. What a good campaign idea. It could help the fact I'm unemployed and while every business in the south-west Melbourne area looks over my resume, I have nothing to do but sit on BYOND and look at the titles of post after post whining about the new features.
