Is your score on Gold Guardians the most RECENT score or your highest score?

I managed to get to Wave 57 or so last night before dying. I checked my score right afterwards and was insanely happy. I decided to play again this morning and screwed up and died early. My score is much lower. What happened?o.0

Yeah I was on the Scoreboard at wavw 159, but I am now gone because I joined a game today. So The score resets every time you play :(

No, the score should not change unless you beat your current highest. It also shouldn't be setting at all if you join a game mid-way.

Really?

"ArckKip1" joined at like Wave 60+ and he was set in the scoreboard with Maydrian and I :/
