I've noticed that Causal Quest lacks audio completely, whether this is due to the game just being young, or just the looking for faithful 8-bit sound, I would suggest FamiTracker.
FamiTracker is a free app used to produce NSF (Nintendo Sound Format) files, and supports 2A03, VRC6, VRC7, MMC5 and FDS sound channels. It can faithfully render NES music in realtime natively, and can export whatever you make as an WAV. (Which can then be converted to MP3 or other space saving format in Audacity, another free app.)
If you want faithful 8-bit sound to go with that 8-bit graphics, I would suggest using FamiTraker.

It's because sound effects and music brought the game to an unbearable lag when Iain tried using them.
