It's been a quiet week overall. Seems like everyone's busy getting on with the approach of summer, and last-minute Mother's Day plans.

I spent the early part of this week in Linux hell, trying to get a virtual machine configured to compile and run BYOND. The "compile" part fell short about a hundred times over, and of course it was Google-proof because everything that goes wrong in UNIX-based systems is. This is a problem I still need to resolve at some point, but that point is not today.

On the positive side, I did manage to get the test build I'd made earlier on the actual BYOND server to run in my VM, and with that I concluded that the Linux test build was ready to go. I don't actually know how that's going yet because, well, again it's been pretty quiet. I expect the weekend will change that; often mid-week things slow down a lot.

In the meantime I've been doing minor bug work, looking toward small features, and prepping for the call_ext() expansion that's really the last item on my list before closing out the 515 beta. Obviously the results of remaining thread tests are important, but I'm not anticipating any big issues there. I also want to do a new test build for both Windows and Linux soon with a minor tweak that I think could solve a weird issue Eternia saw.

Thanks to all of you who've helped support BYOND, either as Members or through donations on various platforms. I couldn't do this without you.

Next week, hopefully the pollen count will go down, and maybe I'll have a more functional neck. Here's hoping.
