I heard about a product called Mega Men Sport which is a dietary supplement which contains tons and tons of vitamins in it. I usually take it in the morning before I eat breakfest. I usually use regular vitamin pills to give me the vitamins I need in the morning and so my workouts are more focused. When I started to take these pills, my urine has turned into a very florescent lemon-lime type color (it is different than the usual yellow color you get from not drinking enough water). I was researching this and it turns out there is more than one answer for this. The most common one I have seen was that I might not be getting all of the vitamins out of the pill that it has to offer and I should maybe switch to a new one.
I like GNC's supplements and these seem to be their best vitamin pills and their most talked-about. I really want to stick with it so I was wondering what your peoples' opionions are of why this is happening. It seems as if I am getting all of the vitamins out of these pills so I do not think that could be the answer. What do you think?

youre going to die
yep just kidding. Try drinking more water, yellow pee means you don't have enough H2O in your system. |

youre going to die yeah, except he pointed out its not that color. he specifically said LIME, and clarified it wasn't the yellow it turns when you don't drink water. |
There is such a thing as too much, even when it comes to vitamins. Odds are that's what you're seeing. You've got to be very careful, too much of some vitamins can be harmful to you. You may encounter all sorts of things down the track.
Remember, supplements are for when you're not getting the required nutrients in your standard diet. Most people don't need them and don't benefit from them at all. They're mainly useful for balancing diets out in situations where the foods that contain enough A naturally also contain too much B. Trying ditching this Mega Men Sport stuff and just sticking with the regular vitamin pills. See how that works out for you. |
Bright yellow urine is from excess Vitamin B-2 (riboflavin). Totally harmless.
If you're really concerned, you can go down the list of all the vitamins in this stuff and look up information on each one, mainly how your body gets rid of it (if it does). The majority of vitamins you can take enormous amounts of because you body will just excrete out the excess in some way. |
Yeah this stuff also has Vitamin B-2 (riboflavin) in it. I am going to look up what that does. Thanks.
