All of the names of the languages in Newtopia are selected in a form of wordplay fashion, except for the ones from Hedgerow Hall which I simply took verbatim.

(Incidentally, particularly keen readers might have noticed that I've been calling it Wesil for months, but renamed it to Vesil last December after discovering I had it wrong...)

There are a few others I'm quite proud of:

    Docktirat //Ducks
        //Someone with a Docktirat in Psychology = a quack



    Dogwash //Raccoons
        //Very obscure play on "procyon lotor", the species name, meaning "washing subdog"
