can't host server

Hello, i need help hosting a tg ss13 server to play with my friends, but when i try to open it, it displays in red "BYOND hub reports port _____ cannot be reached by players." I have my firewall off and i dont have a router, instead im using a wired connection, maybe thats the thing. Im on windows 7 if thats required.

There's almost certainly a router between you and the Internet, even if it's not YOUR router. Sounds like you might be in a university dorm for example? Rest assured all the network plugs in the walls do go back to a router - but it's one that you can't touch.

Your options are to rent a server on the Internet, or to get some VPN program which has the option to put all your friends on the same VPN. Back when I did this 10 years ago, everyone used a program called Hamachi. I'm not sure what's in vogue nowadays.

If you're all on the same network you might not need either and you might be able to just ignore the warning.

tried hamachi, still not working, can you figure out how to make it work?

If you're using a mobile hotspot it isn't possible I believe.
