I see how much Im loved *cough* digital mouse *cough*. Now then here's a revalation to you all, I would love to pay for this if I could but I can't unless we can mail the money. Even if I could pay though I would still not like this new version very well. If you would like a much smaller caculation of the amount of cash DanTom would most likely make a rough figure of 900-1500. This is a very small figure considering that we have 1,000 people and this cost there is about 5% of them. If you look around many people are saying they shall join. A figure of 25% would proably be more accurate. Also, to adress a few other things you guys complain on me about. Dan and Tom have jobs im sure. That's how they paid for BYOND before. So why oh why do you think that by giving this large surplus would help put food on the table? They obviously could do this before. The only difference is that now they can go to a four star restraunt, in their new vipers ;D

Bon, I can't believe you like BYOND so much, yet absolutely despise the thought of Dantom making money off of it. You constantly fail to realise that your numbers mean squat when their pulled straight out of your ass, and when their is a number to be verified you get it completely wrong. Nobody's giving BYOND $30, sadly some people from other countries apparently have to pay more to get the money to them, but it doesn't go to Dantom.
If you can't pay for membership, that's fine. Nobody is going to look down on you for it. It is sad that you'll lose some nice features, but it's just not reasonable for Dantom to keep losing money from them. It's pretty clear that these features were either going to dissapear or become pay to use. |
Forgot a subject, again. =|
This new version does seem a little awkward, but it's got the framework for some really nifty new advances to BYOND. As always, Dantom is open to suggestions on how it could be made better. |
Look at it this way, maybe the math I just did will make some people lay off. It is only $1.25 a month USD.
Let see...That translates to: Monthly price: $1.25 USD (US) 1.02367 EUR (Euros) 0.689769 GBP (UK) 1.55475 CAD (Canada) 1.65606 AUD (Australia) 134.919 JPY (Japan) (Yikes! Glad I don't live there...) 1.57194 CHF (Switzerland) 8.58250 ZAR (South Africa) Unless you live in Japan or South Africa, thats really not that much. So, quit complaining. Thats a cheaper monthly cost than Tripods blog service (and we get the pager and a free years worth of BYONDscape as well. Come on, are you really going to complain about a couple dollars a month?) I think 134 yen isn't very much. I don't know much about it, but I think that means that a person that'd have 1.25 USD in their pocket, people in japan with 134.919 yen would have the same amount.
|
Eh...Yeah, their prices are equal, but I think you could buy more with 134 yen in japan than you could with $1.25 USD here.
Just like even though 20 AUD equals 15 USD, you can buy more with the 20 AUD than you could with the 15 USD. Otherwise, they would probably keep the amounts about the same, wouldn't you think? |
Kunark is right. Just because the number is bigger, that doesn't mean you can automatically buy more with it.
I'll have to pay about $20-25 Australian dollars, which looks more than $15 USD. But in actual fact, they're about even. Why are the currencies all worth different amounts? I don't know, but I do know that there is a reason. Ask an economist. =) |

I know for a fact my National Australia Debit card wouldn't work <.<
What about Money orders?
It would be cool if that became an option.
