This is an advanced skill that can be learned randomly learned once you acquire a high enough move level.
The skill requires you to be inside of dream world in order to activate, and it allows you to make a clone of a person from your contact list with a white filter on them. The level of the clone will scale a little bit with the contact level such as starting at 50% and going to 70%.
The skill allows you to able to practice on something when your at a high enough level. At some point you'll be stronger then the apex predators, but not strong enough against PoP defenders who are quite lethal. Since dying in dream world doesn't inflict any lasting damage, it could be used as a testing ground.
What are your thoughts on it?

On the 2nd point, probably won't have good gains. Also you can only raise Offence/Defense in dream world. It would likely still keep spar training more effective in the real world.
It'll likely be used as a test dummy to practice skills and strategies in DW |
100% I disagree.
I don't think there should "Just be Dreamworld skills" Considering the fact that Splitforms may or may not be a thing in the game, this is just Splitform but with extra steps/gates. I also disagree with Truncated skills like this, because it'll literally be used by like 3 people, once, and then never be touched again, but require maintenance anytime an update may have impact on the Skill. We had too many of those skills in DBG where nobody really used them, and they got broken and fixed over the course of many updates, I see no reason why we're wanting to add more super specific skills. Like I said above, this just sounds like Splitforms but extra steps. If you want to do this without Splitforms, just bring a piece of technology like a Healing tank and punch it for half spar gains, you'd basically get the same results with 85% less buggyness/jank. Edit: I would say if you're die hard to make this into a mechanic, make it freely available to everybody. Like a DW setting or something that shits you into the Void with an NPC. There's no need for it to take up one of your learned move slots, when Like I said above, it'd be one of those skills that would be used by like 3 people.... once, and then never touched, especially considering you're thinking about gating it behind a high move level. If anything this should be base move level 0 kind of skill, if not something everybody can do at the start of the game or something. |
Secondly, this kind of skill would encourage anti-social behavior in an RP game. You would no longer need to seek out and interact with people for sparring if you can just disappear and self-spar for all time without the penalty of sparring objects/walls in the world.
Thirdly, and this is more of a personal feeling, but I would be hella disappointed if one of my limited moves learned was something like this.
