Blame me and my lack of talent: most of the official BYOND graphics were my fault. All of the logos except for that first funky blue one were mine. I know enough Photoshop (Gimp) tricks to produce some decent looking eye candy, but I can't actually draw anything good. Can't do pixel art, and certainly can't draw anything by hand; I can just tell the computer to do some things that make nice pictures. I'm a total hack.

Watch this to see what a real artist can do:

Note: "Lost" sucks.
I actually liked the logos alot, I thought they were pretty good especially the holiday ones. That was a really good video also, I'm going to check out the rest.

I never knew about that logos collection! Pretty neat!

Note: I'm waiting for a condescending comment to my comment.
Lost sucks.

You know, if I didn't know better, I'd've sworn I saw Terry O'Quinn on Stargate SG-1. Turns out, however, that I was mistaking someone else:

James Kidnie. They actually look rather similar.
*sniff* I want a Wacom pad with my new computer. Having access to an updated version of Inkscape will be cool, but I probably need a pad to motivate me to attempt my webcomics. I probably don't have the skills to do anything as realistic as that video, but it would be nice to be able to, you know, direct the bleeping drawing!
Not too bad.
You don't need to be a genius to make good looking pictures.
Sometimes the simplest of designs look the best.

Although, if you do make every single one of those items that replaces the O in BYOND, like the atom, then you're much better than I am.
I can't make objects.
I want the old BYOND scheme again.

Purple, Blue, and Black are sexy together.
Hey, you're kick-ass at making CSSs, and that's good enough for most people.
It's easier to make fun of simple things. :D

Seriously though, the Byond logos always looked fine to me. I prefer something compact over humongigantinormungus banners that not only take ages to load, but cramp everything around them.

Wow. You're a moron.
Look at little closer at his post and see if you can spot what I was commenting on.

Tool.
"Our Halloween logo finally revealed the scary truth: that Dan & Tom rip games!"

OH MY GOD

Also:

Those were awesome. Better than anything I could do.
The first logo I was there for:

I was thinking about that last night, even before I saw the time-lapse photo that Mike shared. I too would love a pen tablet... but at over 150% the price of my mouse, which was C$80 and about 400% of what I'm normally willing to pay for pointing devices, the're not exactly within my means at the moment...
That was great, and so are the logos. Here's looking forward to many more!
I'd say you're a damn good graphic artist, Mike. All those logos look very professional.
Your logos look awesome and I've always envied your mastery of CSS and visual webpage design :)
Can we ease up on the proselytisation? My inbox is getting full. ;-)

I miss the seasonal updates. Any chance past nil we'll have a new one for St. Paddy's Day?
I actually thought the logos were pretty awesome. I hate you elite people who down play your skills while the rest of us curse you for making us feel inferior.
