if i try do join a game it says guest not allowed but i have been logged in

It kinda sounds like you're logged in on the website but not the pager.

Start up the BYOND program. This'll prompt you to log in when it finishes starting. After logging in through that interface, you should be able to start up the game you originally wanted to play.
