So... BYOND keeps files uploaded from your membership?

Even after it's expired? Pretty neat stuff. I recently checked my MM_PlayerCount library and to my amazement, the download link still works!

Although it's been a few years since I have not owned a membership, I am fairly sure the css is still saved. It simply isn't displayed when your membership expires. But once you renew it, it'll return.

Whenever I see a 'I've got a new BYOND membership!' or 'I'm back!' post, they generally have the default CSS, until the inevitable 'New CSS!' post comes along.

Calus is correct. The CSS does save.

The reason for this is because there are several good libraries, demos and games that would vanish if they didn't.

The files do become inaccessible while the membership is lapsed, so those libraries and demos aren't avaliable until the owner renews their membership.

This was actually changed for the reason Zaltron mentioned. However you lose the ability to manage your files when membership lapses.

For any membership perks I can think of, nothing ever really gets deleted after a membership lapses, but many of the permissions associated with membership status are disabled. CSS is one of the items already mentioned; when a blog's membership is reinstated, so is its layout.
