Hmm, I haven't worked with CentOS. So I'm not really sure what's going on. Googling around a little shows it's a common problem, but no real direct way to fix it. Sorry, wish I could be of better help, only other thing is you could try su, just by itself than type your root password and it will ensure you are root user.

Yeah, probably... I guess I will just have to wait until ATP Host is back up and running with their new provider. It was only $10, so it isn't such a big deal. At least I learned how to set up a Linux version of BYOND in case I ever wanted to do this sort of thing myself instead of through a VPS or other sort of provider haha.

I went into WinSCP and changed the properties of the folders and whatnot and now when I run that same command, I get...
-bash-3.2# DreamDaemon: cannot open file file.dmb |
I changed the permissions Octal to 0777 with "Set group, owner and permissions recursively" checked. That's what I did to get to where I am now. It now says it cannot open the file. I do not understand why. I did "make install" in "cd byond". The file.dmb file is within the byond directory, so I am confused.

Has there been any word as to when ATP hosting will be back up? I can't get in contact with Airjoe except through a friend so I'm at a loss.

Hi Ketchupkid-
ATP Host is back in action! Please get in touch with me through that blog or by e-mail ([email protected]) so we don't clutter up the forum. Thanks! All the best, Joe |
