Looks like we are getting BYOND holiday website themes again, even if in a more limited fashion than before.

Seems like BYOND decided to jump on the bandwagon for holiday themes. Maybe they'll start doing website themes for each day in history!(probably not). But its a nice addition.

A while back BYOND had a theme for every major holiday. So they really aren't jumping on any bandwagon, just going back to the old ways. There used to be a page that compiled all the old website themes, but I think that page was lost in history.

Well then thats an error on my part. The only theme I saw was the last one for Valentine's Day.

I hope there's another Easter Egg Hunt/Conspiracy this year.

Nope. I saw it a few weeks ago, but I forget the URL or how I got to it.

There was also one for St. Patricks, for a note.

There was also one for Halloween, though, admittedly, the only thing that changed was the banner (I imagine because... well... the sidebar is already orange).

This thread was made on St. Patrick's day.

The Halloween theme was put in manually and inspired the new automatic holiday stuff. For most of them I'm modifying Mike's original graphics by resizing them in a size and style (with the drop shadow in particular) consistent with our new logo format, and on a custom gradient background. The original holiday logos were all designed for a black background. We actually have the ability to theme up all the site's colors but that seemed to be overkill in our Valentine's Day tests.

Our new holiday code actually can support more holidays than we currently have graphics for. President's Day for example would have been a bit much. The next theme will be Easter.

Is there any chance to see the same (themed pages) allowed for guilds?

That's a nice idea. I could have our code add in CSS classes for the various holidays and let guilds use those to build new styles as they wish. That would involve minimal effort on our part but would give guilds the chance to get the benefit of our holiday code that's already running anyway. I might need to modify our CSS preview so you could enter a date to test or something, but it wouldn't really take much more than that.

If you make a post in the feature tracker, I can resolve it once this gets added.
